The 62-year-old ‘Red Solo Cup’ singer ‘passed away peacefully’ on Monday night, per the news shared by his family on X. Pat McAfee, who is a fond fan of his, took to his Twitter account to share his condolences for the deceased. “Rest easy Toby Keith” with a shot of one of Keith’s favorites, ‘Never Let the old man in’.

Keith has been battling stomach cancer since 2022. His family said, ” Toby Keith passed peacefully last night on Feb. 5 surrounded by his family. He fought his fight with grace and courage,”. Moreover, they requested, “Please respect the privacy of his family at this time.” Fans across the globe are pouring in their solaces for the departed soul and his family. Well, a legacy like Keith’s is hard to not admire, let alone forget.

It was at the People’s Choice Country Awards 2023 that Toby Keith spoke about his cancer diagnosis, which was an emotionally tough moment for the world. After he announced his chronic condition in 2022, he was spotted at Park MGM in Vegas. Even the US Presidents weren’t immune to Keith’s country magic. He has performed for George Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump. Almost as an appreciation for the legacy he has built throughout the years, in 2021, Trump awarded him the National Medal of Arts.
His debut album was released in 1993, and it was an instant hit. Some of which continue to rule people’s hearts. His song about the 9/11 attacks ‘Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue (The Angry American)’ made him a household name. Thus far, he has taken up a spot on each country music lover’s vinyl shelf.
