Is Randy Moss right? Do NBA players lack the grit to play recreational sports post-retirement?

It appears the ‘which is better‘ war between the NBA and the NFL will never end. A lot of retired or current players always take shots at the other franchise. It occurred once more, and this time, former wide receiver Randy Moss was the one who took the shot. This teasing from Moss was intriguing since it was a critique of Anthony Edwards and all NBA players.

For those who missed Randy Moss actually attended the Sunday NFL Countdown as an analyst. The ex-NFL player on the show made a remark on the retiring NBA players while the ESPN Cover Story promotion was in progress.

According to the former wide receiver, NFL players are great because they continue to play even after hanging their boots on the field. Obviously not professionally, but they play in the recreational football. They meet plenty of people and maintain their health by doing this. And while this is fantastic, the NBA players, on the other hand, do not currently have anything similar to recreational football.

Randy Moss stated, “One thing about us football players, when we’re done we’ll play rec ball. … But when the NBA is done, they don’t come and play no rec football.”

Everyone on the panel began to laugh much more than normal at this hilarious comment. The WR made a really good point and the NBA players need to think for a good comeback now.

But why did Randy Moss make such an unexpected remark? This comment is actually connected to the recent picture session that Anthony Edwards completed for the ESPN Cover Story. But what exactly is the scene?

Anthony Edwards imitated Randy Moss in the ESPN Cover Story photoshoot

Did something click in your mind? Actually, the teaser image for the ESPN Cover Story, which will air on October 22, was just released by ESPN. Anthony Edwards and Justin Jefferson were in this picture, and they looked quite familiar to the fans. Many people then remarked on how the shot reminded them of the famous Cover Story photo session featuring Randy Moss and Kevin Garnett.

In the picture, Jefferson was attempting to spin a basketball while looking up to gain balance, while Edwards was carrying a football. This idea was identical to that of Moss and Garnett, which may have been the cause of the former wide receiver’s remarks on the show.
