Tom Brady’s Patriots Hall of Fame ceremony wasn’t just about him. Tears flowed freely when Randy Moss, Brady’s longtime partner-in-crime at wide receiver, stepped onto the stage.

An hour into the festivities, the host brought out Brady and his “Fab Four,” who’d caught the most touchdown passes from the legendary quarterback. Among them was the iconic Randy Moss. As Moss started to speak, the crowd erupted in a thunderous, minute-long standing ovation that choked up the usually stoic receiver. “It always good to feel this,” he simply managed, his voice thick with emotion. Fast forward a few weeks, and Moss’ teammate Rob Gronkowski is still reminiscing about the heartwarming moment.

On the June 26 episode of the “Games with Names” show, Gronkowski recalled sharing the stage with Moss, Brady, Julian Edelman, and Wes Welker during the “Patriots big night.” “Randy Moss deserved that standing ovation,” he declared. “It was great to see how emotional he got.” Gronkowski then went on to shower Moss with praise, highlighting his impact on the early Patriots. “I swear Tom Brady will always be Tom Brady,” he admitted, “But Randy Moss Made Tom Brady Untouchable.” Edelman, too, joined the conversation, jokingly adding, “That was the first air raid offense!”

Gronkowski then elaborated on the dominance of the Brady-Moss-Welker trio from 2007 to 2009, stating, “He took Brady to a whole next level. Same with Wes Welker.” He stressed more on the iconic Patriots offense, stating, “They were scoring like no one ever before scored in the NFL.”

Moss’ influence on Brady’s career is undeniable. His presence undoubtedly shaped Brady’s path to becoming a football legend. Even the “GOAT” himself might quite agree with the fact.

The magic of the Brady-Moss bond is undeniable. Despite never winning a Super Bowl together, Moss’ impact on the Patriots’ offensive dominance is clear. During his first three seasons with the team, Moss was a scoring machine, getting in 23 touchdowns and 98 catches. This explosive play even made Brady look weaker. With Moss as his target, Brady’s completion percentage skyrocketed to 68.9%! The duo’s performance even landed Brady his first MVP award.

Even after their time together, the camaraderie and competitive spirit between Brady and Moss are still palpable. During a conversation with Peyton Manning last year, where they discussed the evolution of players and rules in the NFL, Brady playfully declared, “Give me Chad Ochocinco and Randy Moss on the outside, and we’re putting up 35 points next week!” Moss, always ready to back his former teammate, replied, “No lies told!” This exchange is proof of the enduring bond and competitive fire between these two football greats.
