Peyton Manning impressed the Colts with his memory when he memorized their playbook within a week of getting drafted in 1998. But he became a fan favorite for his gentlemanly nature, helping people whenever they needed it. It showed off in Hurricane Katrina in 2005 when he and his brother Eli helped people by delivering essential items such as water. The City of Indianapolis also adores him. Just for a unique thing!
Built in 2004, the St.Vincent Children’s Hospital was renamed Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital in 2007. Since then, Manning has spent countless hours with patients, helping them through tough times. It happened again in February 2025 when he came to their rescue by announcing a successful 17th Celebration of Caring gala.

The event generated more than $1.6 million, which will help PMCH care for sick children. Manning has a long-standing relationship with the hospital. He attended events to encourage donors to support the facility. Since 2007, he has served as the hospital’s official patron.
Beyond that, he has remained true to his love—football! In December of last year, he shared photos from the Big Ten Championship at Lucas Oil Stadium. One photo featured two children, Ian and Madeline, patient ambassadors of PMCH, serving as honorary kid captains.
Over the years, PMCH has provided care for children in need of emergency treatment, blood disease management, orthopedic procedures, and more. Peyton Manning has also enlisted other superstars to support the cause, leveraging his fame to make an impact.
Just a few days ago, the Super Bowl winner surprised fans by teaming up with Caitlin Clark—a moment that resurfaced again on Thursday.
Peyton Manning and Caitlin Clark shine for Indianapolis
On February 20, Caitlin Clark was another Indianapolis legend who joined the charitable cause for the PMCH as the chief guest. Dressed in an all-white suit, she looked pretty and even joined the NFL legend for a one-on-one chat. It was surreal.

Peyton Manning took to Instagram to appreciate and thank the WNBA star for her support. She earlier joined him in an advertisement for the hospital. They both were shown doing surgery while admitting that heart surgery was tough, which the doctors at PMCH did at a regular rate with a high success rate. But they surprised everyone in the end by showing a teddy on which they were practicing.
Caitlin Clark has definitely become the favorite superstar of the Super Bowl winner. They have done many interviews together, often comparing the ongoing NFL and WNBA scenarios. Mr. Sheriff has been a force even after retiring 8 seasons ago. Indianapolis loves him.
