Deion Sanders, the coach for the Colorado Buffaloes, has had a rollercoaster career so far. The 56-year-old coach debuted as a head coach this year when he signed a 5-year contract with the Buffs. Ever since his arrival, he has established himself as one of the most influential coaches in the NCAA.

Coach Prime had a fantastic start to the season. Several critics called him “just another celebrity coach,” and thus, he had much to prove when he stepped onto the sidelines. He gave them a befitting reply when he led the team to a surprising victory over the TCU Horned Frogs in their first match. Furthermore, he went on to prove why he’s known as Coach Prime when he helped the team get a 3-0 win streak until it all came tumbling down for the Colorado Buffaloes.

It’s obvious that Coach Prime is a man of sheer determination and skill. He further tries to implement the same ideologies into his team’s plays. But so far, his words have proven futile as the Buffaloes stand on a 4-3 record, which is not impressive compared to other teams in the league.

The Colorado Buffaloes lost their 3-0 streak against the Oregon Ducks, which was by far their worst loss. The team lost to the Ducks by a staggering score of 42-6. With all the words Coach Prime had to say about his team, they all proved worthless, as they gave less than a mediocre performance against Oregon.

Deion Sanders took it all on the chin in the post-match conference when he said, “We played like hot garbage. Good old-fashioned butt-kicking. No excuses.”?Later, he also mentioned that this was the worst that the Buffs’ performance would ever be. Unfortunately, that didn’t age well, as the Colorado team kept upsetting. Their match against the Arizona State Sun Devils was controversial because of Shedeur Sanders’ antics and Deion’s role in it.

Deion Sanders paved the way for Shedeur and Shilo’s arrogance

The Colorado Buffaloes faced off against the Arizona State Sun Devils and won the game. But what occurred during the celebrations of the Colorado Buffaloes caught the eye of the entire NFL community. Shedeur Sanders was involved in a tussle with the Arizona fans as they kept chanting, “overrated,”?every time he’d throw out the ball. After the win, Shedeur went toward the fans and flexed his expensive watch in an arrogant gesture.

His move was met with heavy criticism as it appeared to be superficial arrogance from the 21-year-old quarterback. But it made sense why he did the move in retrospect. The Arizona fans were unnecessarily aggressive toward him, and it was ironic that they couldn’t deal with the fact that they got a taste of their own medicine. NFL fans tend to be aggressive in the stands, and fights often break out between them. Thus, it’s obvious why the fans burst into a rage and criticized the young player: they couldn’t take the hit back.

What became more controversial was how Deion promoted the flexing of jewelry among his team. While Shedeur made his gesture, Deion could be heard in the background hyping him up. It was also seen that Shilo was sitting in the stands with a few people around him, making sure that his golden chain was fitted properly. This behavior makes the fans think that Coach Prime focuses more on the showboating than the plays. The Colorado Buffaloes have a lot to prove in their upcoming games, and they can’t depend on their jewelry for any more wins, that’s for sure.

The Colorado Buffaloes need to make a major comeback, fast

The team is on the verge of the league with their poor record. Coach Prime has again clarified how his team is working hard for their next few games, but a lot remains to be seen. They lost to the Stanford Cardinal when they overcame a record-breaking 29-point lead and took the win from the Buffs. If losing the 29-point lead wasn’t embarrassing enough, the Stanford players walked over to the Colorado fans and repeated Shedeur’s controversial taunt.

Thus, Shedeur has a lot riding on the next few matches as he tries to live up to the reputation of being one of the best QBs in the league. In a recent video released by the Colorado Buffaloes, Deion Sanders Jr. could be seen telling Shedeur that he can’t wear any jewelry anymore and not smiling. It’s a do-or-die situation for the team and the Sanders family as they continuously strive for glory.

The Colorado Buffaloes were one of the favorites to win the championship at the start of the season, but all went downhill quickly. Coach Prime talked a lot of talks, but unfortunately, couldn’t walk the walk. He will have to depend on his players more than he depends on his words if they wish to continue their journey toward the fated finals. They will be riding on a lot of expectations ahead of their match against the UCLA Bruins this coming Saturday as they try to make a major comeback as the fan favorites.
