Once again Pat McAfee had a heartbreak from his favorite team. Many would know that the Boomstick had high aspirations for the finals of the 2025 Four Nations Face-off. Well, who didn’t? Unfortunately, we all know what happened at the game. Team USA was unable to perform to their full potential, resulting in the playing of ‘O Canada’ at the end of the game. It was an emotional moment for the Canadian Ice Hockey team, who now claim this sport as their own. While they are enjoying their success, McAfee has some words for them. But looks like these are not good words.

If you follow Pat McAfee on X, you’ll see that he was all in for this game. The Boomstick was tweeting about how the United States is going to beat Canada in this game for sure. But the game was a tight one. While the game was amazing throughout, it came to a conclusion in overtime when Connor McDavid scored. Canda got their hand raised with a 3-2 result. McAfee hated the outcome and took on X to state, “We lost to Canada?”

With just a glance at this message, you can tell that the sports commentator is extremely disappointed. Going into it, McAfee spoke with many people about how they want the United States to reclaim the sport of ice hockey. So much so that the Boomstick reposted an X post by Linda Yaccarino. Interestingly, it read, “I’m sick and tired of hearin’ about what a great hockey team the Canadians have. Screw ’em! This is your time!! USA USA USA”

But this was not the only time Pat McAfee talked about his desire to reclaim the sport. Even when he discussed with Matthew Tkachuk what value the result of this game holds. They both agreed about making sure that ice hockey becomes a thing of America. Tkachuk was on The Pat McAfee Show where he stated, “The only thing that I didn’t like with the opening is you said Canada’s game, which we’re trying to not make that Canada’s game anymore. We’re trying to make it America’s game.”

McAfee’s post-game comments on the X and his crushed ambitions were not unusual for him. This was the second time in the last few months that the man’s heart had been broken while supporting a team. But, when was the last time?

Pat McAfee’s inner fanboy disappointed by his favorite teams

Well, if you recall, McAfee blew up a few months back. What happened between McAfee and the Colts is probably still on your mind. The same person was rooting for his team, and when they were eliminated from the playoff race, he lost it. McAfee’s response to the Colts’ loss was almost similar to his reaction to Team USA’s defeat against Team Canada. And then we heard one of the largest rants in the game’s history.

What’s your perspective on:

Is it time for the USA to reclaim ice hockey from Canada, or is it just a dream?

McAfee began to express his disappointment by heavily criticizing the Colts. The reporter even stated, “A blind person could see the red flags on this team. Work ethic questions NEVER happen on good teams. Preparation commitment questions NEVER happen on good teams. Late to meetings, NEVER happens on good teams. Late to/skipping treatment NEVER happens on good teams.. The franchise QB tapped out of a game.. on 3rd down.. in the red zone.. because he was tired… NEVER HAPPENED in the history of the NFL.”

The sports expert did not stop there, as he went on to discuss how much the club needs strictness. McAfee’s rage was not just limited to this one time; he also made some really disparaging remarks about the squad on the Pat McAfee show. The man was irrepressible for 5 minutes, claiming a variety of things, including the Colts’ inability to do anything.

Wow! Pat’s words show his investment in the game. A furious fanboy took over the sports commentator. And it seems like, he isn’t planning to go on another rant but he for sure is disappointed and surprised at Canada’s victory.
