Controversy and Pat McAfee have become friends now, even though the ex-NFLer doesn’t want to! Earlier, Aaron Rodgers went after Jimmy Kimmel on his show, unintentionally pushing him into the controversy. Then, McAfee’s explosive argument with Stephen A. Smith. And ah, who can forget him calling superstar Caitlin Clark “a white b—-”. So, you see, the wrangles aren’t ending soon for him. This time, it’s the NFL Combine pulling him into one. But…..
Pat McAfee isn’t holding back! After what he called a frustrating experience with “middle managers” at the Scouting Combine, he’s pulling the plug on his show’s trip to the NFL Draft in Green Bay. Instead, he and his crew will stay in their Indianapolis “Thunderdome” studio.
Dov Kleiman on X too posted about this by noting that Pat McAfee was “being treated with insufficient respect by “middle managers” at the Scouting Combine.” And that he “deserves better.” This happened when the former NFL punter faced obstacles airing his show from the NFL Combine.

Talking about the same on his show on Monday, Pat McAfee mocked the league’s so-called hospitality. He sarcastically vented out, “The NFL has made it very easy for us to do stuff, it’s very kind of them. I’m very appreciative of the opportunity to showcase your s—. Middle management is doing exactly what they don’t normally do. They’re making it easy, it’s awesome. Those people matter for sure. You guys are really good at your jobs.” Not only him!
Even his co-host A.J. Hawk chimed in, joking about red tape – “No red tape? No hoops to jump through?” And guess what? The mockery didn’t end there. Pat McAfee also doubled down by showing slides of him measuring spaces at Lucas Oil Stadium, hinting that the setup was a mess. Last year, his show was a big hit at the Detroit draft. Green Bay would have been bigger, given Hawk’s legacy with the Packers. But now the team has decided to stay in Indianapolis. It’s clear that McAfee is hurt. Well, we can’t blame him. After all, the former Colts star is juggling another huge controversy at the moment.
Is Pat McAfee getting death threats?
Just last weekend on Saturday, March 1, Pat McAfee attended the WWE Premium Live event in Toronto. However, his attendance soon became a broiling controversy after the Canadian audience booed the US national anthem. This was the fallout of ongoing tensions between the two nations following President Donald Trump’s comments and, more recently, actions during the 4 Nations face-off. What followed? His patience ended, as McAfee slammed the audience by calling Canada a “terrible country.”

However, as the rage against him started to increase on social media, Pat McAfee apologized. But along with this, he also shared his emotions by saying, “There’s been some things said to me from Canadians that I guess I respect, because of the passion that you have for your country, which I hope you understand that I was showing the same for mine. You booed my country. Now, I have heard from a lot of Canadians. During the national anthem, obviously the Rogers Centre, overwhelming boo. I mean, very loud boo. The first reaction whenever the national anthem started up there was for some of these Canadians just to start booing. My entire life, my first reaction when somebody boos the national anthem is, (expletive) you.”

Well, Pat McAfee has indeed some valid points while explaining his stance. But the things aren’t in his control, as it has now led to worse. How? Beside hateful comments and demands for him to be fired from ESPN, the sports analyst has also received some vile death threats from disgusting online trolls for his 1-year-old baby daughter. What a horrible place the world can be sometimes.
