The Cleveland Browns showcased a resilient performance against the Baltimore Ravens, with the defense leading a remarkable comeback. Despite facing a double-digit deficit for most of the game, the defense’s tenacity fueled the team’s energy. Deshaun Watson, in his best half of football with the Browns, played a crucial role in the comeback victory. But the match did not end well for the star quarterback.

Deshaun Watson sustained a injury in his right throwing shoulder during Sunday’s win over the Baltimore Ravens. Despite the career-ending injuries, Watson led the Browns to a come-from-behind 33-31 victory to the awe of medical professionals, NFL fans and analysts included. Keyshawn Johnson and Skip Bayless acknowledged the same on the latest episode of ‘Undisputed.’

Deshaun Watson is out for the season after an MRI revealed a displaced fracture to the glenoid of his already injured throwing shoulder, along with a high ankle sprain suffered in the recent win against the Baltimore Ravens.

The glenoid is the capsule that holds the “shoulder in place,” which was a “brand new” injury and was not a case of an aggravation of an already existing injury. Despite his injury, Watson played a majority of the second quarter and the entirety of the second half with “nothing holding his shoulder in place.”

“They had no idea because at any time in the second half of the ball game, his shoulder could have fell out of place because there was nothing holding it in place anymore,” explained Keyshawn Johnson who was initially enraged at the Cleveland’s medial team, but later marveled at Watson’s resilience. “It was a very dangerous game, a very courageous game for Deshaun Watson,” Johnson concluded.

What next for Watson and the Cleaveland Browns?

Deshaun Watson, in his second season with the Browns, has faced a series of injuries this season following his trade from the Houston Texans. After missing Weeks 4 and 6 with a bruised rotator cuff and aggravating the ailment in Week 7, he returned for a Week 8 victory over the Arizona Cardinals.

In the recent game against Baltimore, Watson threw for 213 yards, one touchdown, and one interception while rushing for 37 yards in the Browns’ thrilling 33-31 win. Watson will require immediate season-ending surgery to prevent any further structural damage to his throwing arm.

With a 6-3 record, which is at par with Cleveland’s best since the franchise was relaunched in 1999, the Browns are in the hunt for the AFC North title. Despite injuries to key players, including Deshaun Watson and Nick Chubb, the team will rely heavily on Amari Cooper, Jerome Ford, Kareem Hunt, and their strong defense.
