Skip Bayless does not sugarcoat his skepticism for the Eagles. He has been guessing about the Eagles’ luck running out for quite some weeks now. There was a time in the conference when both the 49ers and the Eagles were head-to-head with their untainted record, then each team encountered their first loss. The only difference, Philadelphia fought back against it, while the 49ers succumbed to two more losses. As the Eagles gear up to face the 49ers, Skip Bayless advises Philadelphia to beware of San Francisco.
As the two clash in an ultimate showdown this Monday, the Niners seek redemption. Safe to say, the crowd at Lincoln Financial Field will have a heavy day as they witness the top two teams of the NFC battle it out for the NFC Championship Rematch. Additionally, till now, Bayless has picked his side and made it pretty obvious.

Although, his appreciation of one team does not make him blind towards the strengths of the opposite team, aka Jalen Hurts. Bayless agrees with people saying Hurts is one of the slickest players in the league. “He is made of the lightest stuff you’ve ever seen and he’s hard to overcome,” confessed Bayless, before dropping his final prediction for his team. “But his team around him is not good enough to hang with him at the junction.” It is true that Eagles’ defenses might have played with faults in previous games, which is exactly the concern of Bayless. He is positive about Sunday being San Francisco’s day, all backed up by his reasons.
I love Jalen Hurts, but his team is not good enough to hang with San Francisco. The Eagles defense is torchable. They’re on borrowed time. https://t.co/QFG9dlep0o

Bayless is well aware of how much of a big problem Jalen Hurts might be for the 49ers. It will not be much of a surprise if the NFL ranks Hurts the best QB of the season, the guy has put on a truly MVP-worthy show this season, with an average completion percentage of 67.6%. Not to mention his yardage of 2,697, along with 18 passing touchdowns and 11 rushing touchdowns, all in 11 games.
Speaking of the 49ers first, the team is surely loaded from each side of the ball, which will be a tough play to tackle for the Eagles. On the other hand, Eagles’ defense is ‘torchable’, as per Bayless. Their biggest obstacle would be their pass defense. It currently ranks 29th in passing yards allowed and 31st in passing touchdowns allowed. The numbers speak for themselves. Hence, the Eagles might seriously consider their cornerbacks, linebackers, and safeties before stepping their foot on the field.

Moreover, they already have one of the toughest challenges in the league, Brock Purdy, to overcome, who will be their primary target for the whole game. Will they be able to control the storm that the 49ers offense unleashes? That question will be answered on Monday. The Philadelphia crowd will surely be expecting some nail-biting thrill.
