He was the Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl XXIII, attaining 215 receiving yards. That stands as Rice’s greatest record of all time and remains unbeaten since January 22, 1989! No other player in the NFL has ever even shaken it.

 

That record was set by Rice in the game between two powerhouses, the San Francisco 49ers and the Cincinnati Bengals. Jerry Rice was so extraordinary in his performance that he recorded 11 exciting receptions of up to 215 yards. And, of course, not to mention his exceptional touchdown right after that, like a cherry on top. Thanks to him, the game was tied at 13-13 in the fourth quarter and unsurprisingly, the 49ers emerged victorious, winning with the score 20-16.
