The harmless and hilarious Patriots pool reunion roast goes on! Retired NFL pro Rob Gronkowski has taken Tom Brady‘s reunion rejection a step further. Gronk and Brady played alongside each other for over 10 seasons at the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, winning four Super Bowls together.

Brady and Gronk’s relationship spans beyond the football field and the connection they have is something many people can only pray for and hope to have. Following Tom Brady’s IG upload that featured him turning down Julian Edelman’s Patriots reunion pool party, Rob Gronkowski has found something to dig the NFL GOAT with.

Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, and Danny Amendola planned their mini-reunion on the fifth anniversary of the Patriots AFC Championship game win vs. the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium and invited Brady with a short video playing ‘Bad Boys for Life’ in the background. 

In response to the invite, Brady shared an Instagram story, roasting them by saying, “Nice pool fellas, but I think you’ve got enough shirtless dudes at your party.Tom Brady isn’t one to take relaxed bad-boy walks like he did when he posted the response to his former Patriots teammates – Edelman, Gronkowski, and Danny Amendola.

The former Patriots TE responded with an  IG story and roasted Tom Brady’s walking style. He reposted the 7x SB champion’s story adding the words, “I never seen you walk like that. When did that start?” Who knows, he’s just trying to appear as cool as his buddies who were having a sizzling shirtless pool party but Gronk was quick to point out his unusual style.

Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski share a covetous bond

The connection between Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski began when the latter joined the Patriots in 2010. An instant bond is formed and Brady found himself a worthy teammate who he targeted 59 times in his rookie season helping him secure 10 touchdowns. A couple of years later, the duo began celebrating touchdowns with a hug. They won three SBs with the Patriots in 2015, 2017, and 2019, and the most recent one in 2021 with the Bucs.

With an unrivaled chemistry on and off the field, it was a heartbreaking moment for Rob Gronkowski who would rather retire than play beside another QB. He retired when the Patriots decided to trade him to the Detroit Lions in 2018. But when the Bucs signed Brady in 2020, he unretired to join his comrade for a final stint before their final retirements. Their relationship is a truly inspiring one that seeks to push each other to be the best versions of themselves.
