All that Tom Brady wants from his previous coach is faith and opportunity! Especially when the Brady and Bill Belichick duo has recorded 249-75 win-loss in the NFL. But why? Well, it’s not about football, it’s beyond the gridiron!
Recently, The Lacrosse Network’s official Instagram page shared a comment on Tom Brady made by his former head coach, Bill Belichick in 2016. The comment read: “(Grunts) … I’d put him [Brady] in the goal.” Actually, the full context is that Belichick soaked in some lacrosse at Gillette Stadium back in those days. During his attendance, he was asked what position Brady would play in a lacrosse game.
To which, Belichick replied, “Goalie.” However, fast forward eight years, and Tom Brady sniped back at Belichick and commented under the Lacrosse Network’s post: “I would have surprised you BB!! You should never doubt me (with an angry face).” Although that was a humorous way of asking for faith in him, Brady is pretty sure he would have excelled at lacrosse too. After all, the legendary quarterback has played multiple sports like baseball, basketball, and of course his forte, football.

But for the people who are wondering why Belichick didn’t show his belief in his star QB, don’t worry, the former head coach has also explained his reason. And the reason is – Tom Brady’s mobility. According to the former Patriots coach, “the quarterback’s mobility issues would limit him to just one position.”
In explanation, the now 72-year-old said, “You need to be able to run here. I think some of our players, like Devin McCourty and Pat Chung, guys like that who are fast and have good quickness could play at 200-205 pounds, 210 pounds, somewhere in there, that they would be pretty tough. I think….guys like that who are long and tough” can play lacrosse’s main positions. However, not only that! After his 2016 comments, Bill Belichick now has taken up Tom Brady’s previous job.

While passing on his job to his former coach, TB12 said, “For 20 years, I threw the ball for Coach Belichick. Now I am passing the microphone to him on ‘Let’s Go!’” Belichick revealed his feelings as well when Brady passed him his previous regular-season job.
According to TMZ, the former Patriots coach said that “he was stoked to get the role,” the work of which will begin this year. But Belichick will not be the only one to run this podcast. He will be supported by the obvious host, Gary, and joined by the Raiders’ star player, Maxx Crosby “on this year’s iteration of the program.”
