Tom Brady is the “GOAT” and the fact is undeniable. Seven Super Bowl rings and countless accolades are enough to solidify his legendary status. However, some controversy lingers from his time with the New England Patriots – “Deflategate” and “Spygate” cast a shadow on both the team and Brady himself. While the accusations of deflated footballs and stolen signals from videotapes were never definitively proven, the negativity persists.

Likewise, his tenure with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, initially peaceful in 2020, took an unexpected turn. Brady’s decision to briefly retire and then return twice to the Bucs still remains unexplained. He’s also kept silent about the team, blatantly avoiding them in a recent interview.

On June 19th “The Herd” with Colin Cowherd, Brady discussed his lucrative ($375 million) post-retirement gig as an NFL analyst for Fox Sports.  However, while talking about the new role, he noticeably avoided mentioning the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or any current or even past players except for his best buddy Rob Gronkowski.

Cowherd even directly mentioned Brady’s “reliance” on good offensive line protection. “The Older quarterbacks are a bit more reliant on the guard-center-guard protection. In Tampa, you got Tristan Wirfs” Cowherd said specifically. Still, Brady remained neutral, simply saying “Sure.” When Gronkowski’s blocking skills came up, Brady acknowledged him but then diverted the conversation to building a good offense in general.

This deliberate omission of any Buccaneer names has upset some fans who are storming the internet to let out their thoughts.

Tom Brady’s post-retirement silence regarding the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is causing a stir among fans.  The JoeBucsFans website highlights this, noting Brady’s lack of social media support for the team or its players, even after his retirement. However, Brady has often acknowledged the achievements of non-Buccaneers, raising some eyebrows. Now, the interview with Colin Cowherd further fueled the fire.

Fans on the website voiced their frustrations.  One called  “TB is a guy with a huge ego. He needs to show some gratitude.” While another criticized his interview response: “Cowherd directly mentioned Wirfs and Brady just went on to babble about the offensive line coach in New England. Unbelievable.”

Another chimed in, stating, “Everything about him is business. If he’s not winning something, he doesn’t care. Besides, there’s a grudge with the Bucs.” He even called him “a man of the past.” Fueling the grudge theory, another user commented: “A grudge because the Glazers [Buccaneers owners] and Licht [Buccaneers general manager] held him to his contract, rather than letting him go to Miami?”

Now, rumors swirled about Brady potentially seeking a Miami move in 2022, but nothing materialized before his retirement and subsequent unretirement stint. However, amidst the negativity, one voice offered a more balanced perspective: “He used us, we used him, neither one cared. We were getting our share,” attempting to present a neutral stance.
