Colorado’s narrow 27-24 triumph against Arizona State was able to invert their losing streak setting them back on track for a thunderous season. Despite being armed with one of the nation’s most talented offensive rosters, the Buffaloes encountered difficulties in consistently advancing downfield against an Arizona State squad who have had only one win this season. Colorado’s Coach Prime expressed his displeasure with the team’s performance through brutal comments during his post-match interviews, stating that he was absolutely “sick of” the “mediocrity.”
In a recent post on Instagram, Prime Time addressed the desperate need for a change in attitude, with spectral reference to Colorado’s star quarterback and Coach Prime’s son, Shedeur Sanders, whose celebratory antics have been drawing more negative comments than appreciation.

Deion Sanders has already demonstrated his superior coaching abilities not only with the Colorado Buffaloes but also with his previous coaching endeavors with the Jackson State University program as well. He completely changed how college football is viewed, turning a regional affair into a national spectacle. In his recent Instagram post, he emphasized the importance of acceptance and rationality towards things that we are unable to conquer. When one does not get what one wants, Prime says, ”u still need to be who you’re called to be.”

“Acting out on everyone & everybody simply because either u ain’t ready for it or God don’t want u to have it,” is not the ideal way to approach things or behave suggests the two-sport legend before going on to urge his audience to, “think about that & change your attitude.” This can be translated to the attitude one should ideally show towards dealing with defeat as well, something the new coach of Colorado was able to display when his initial 3-0 winning streak turned into a PAC-12 losing streak. However, his son and star quarterback, Shedeur Sanders seems to radiate a different energy.

Shedeur mirrors Coach Prime’s often larger-than-life persona but his recent celebration antics following Colorado’s win against Arizona State not only went against his off-court mentor Tom Brady’s advice but also drew negative comments from others. After the victory, Shedeur Sanders confidently made his way to the Arizona State student section, proudly showcasing his wrist adorned with a watch valued at $70,000.
Tom Brady had advised the young athlete to “be humble,” but the behavior he showcased was in complete defiance and even bordered arrogance. However, Shedeur’s mother, Deion Snder’s ex-wife Pilar applauded his behavior, saying, “taught him right! So we’ll rounded!”

A similar instance took place earlier in Week 2 during their matchup against Nebraska, where Sanders and his teammates faced off against the crowded Nebraska Cornhuskers on CU’s midfield Buffalo logo. Rather than getting involved in a verbal dispute, Sanders raised his wrist, confidently displaying a watch that exuded luxury – a customized Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15500 adorned with an impressive 30 carats of VVS diamonds. Regardless of the debate on whether it is an act of arrogance or a simple celebration, Shedeur’s celebration antics have rapidly elevated to an iconic gesture, or the “legendary flex.”
