Antonio Brown has switched to full-time journalism with his CTESPN network since leaving the NFL. Since then, he has attracted a massive following for his quick uptakes amidst a lot of controversial news, including his extreme opinions on NFL talents, such as Justin Jefferson and Kenny Pickett.
Last month, Brown reported a trade discussion involving Justin Jefferson from the Vikings to the Steelers. Now, he has made another outrageous remark on social media, hitting two birds with one stone: an attack on Kenny Pickett supporting his claim of a trade involving Justin Jefferson.
Brown took to X on April 21st to post his opinion on upcoming talent Justin Jefferson while taking a dig at the newly recruited Eagles QB, Kenny Pickett. He tweeted, “I’ve seen enough already a better QB than Kenny Pickett #CTESPN.” His tweet was in response to another tweet from Dov Kleiman with a clip showcasing the Vikings WR Justin Jefferson’s throwing skills. Antonio Brown was all praise for Jefferson, even calling him better than Kenny Pickett, despite Jefferson being a WR.

Brown’s opinion isn’t shocking considering his comments on Pickett last month when he called it a legitimate concern that Pickett was in consideration to become a starting QB for the Steelers. Brown, a former Vikings and Steelers player, is unhappy for obvious reasons, as Pickett has the worst TD ratio among all QBs for their first 500 and above passes. He has 12 TDs from 589 passes since he was drafted as the top QB in the 2021 draft. However, the Steelers have found a few options as a replacement to Kenny Pickett now.

The Steelers have considered Mason Rudolph as their backup QB at the moment, who is a better option at the moment with a higher career rating, 80.8. He started in 10 games with two TD passes in five games while Pickett has done that once in 24 starts. Hence, the Steelers were comfortable trading Pickett to the Eagles as they roped in Russell Wilson. However, the Steelers have a chance to pick an alternative in this year’s draft.
Another rumor suggests that the Vikings may draft JJ McCarthy of the Michigan Wolverines. But that would be a difficult task as the Steelers are slotted with the #20 draft pick in Round 1, whereas JJ McCarthy is in the top 10 list of many experts. Let us know your opinions in the comments.
