A new chapter unfolded as the maestro of Dallas Mavericks, Luka Dončić, orchestrated a breathtaking symphony on the basketball court. As the basketball world praised the accomplishment, one unexpected admirer stepped forward to pay homage. It was none other than former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III.

Griffin III acknowledged the sheer brilliance of  Dončić as he drew parallels to the iconic night when Kobe Bryant dropped 81. As the young phenom etched his name into the annals of NBA history, Griffin III bowed down to the Slovenian sensation. Coincidentally, Dončić’s feat coincided with Bryant’s and Gigi’s fourth death anniversary.

In his tweet, Griffin calls attention to Dončić’s 73-point outburst against the Atlanta Hawks that propelled him to the limelight. With this accomplishment, the basketball player secured a career-high as well as a franchise record. On top of that, he touched the record of making the most points scored in the NBA since Kobe Bryant.
