NBA fever is sweeping through the NFL now! Even the legendary Tom Brady couldn’t resist joining the celebration as the Boston Celtics emerged victorious in the NBA Spring Finals.

The Celtics dominated right from the start. Their impressive regular season record of 64-18 translated into a smooth run through the playoffs, culminating in their highly anticipated championship win. The crowd erupted in excitement, and many celebrities joined the revelry.

Camille Kostek, the girlfriend of former NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski, was one lucky fan present at the Celtics vs. Mavericks showdown. The model, known for her work with Victoria’s Secret and Sports Illustrated, captured the electrifying moment the Celtics hoisted the trophy on her Instagram story. She first posted a “countdown to victory in the city of champions,” followed by a celebratory image of the team holding their prize.

Now, Tom Brady himself couldn’t stay out of the loop. Sharing on his X handle, he simply wrote, “Another one in Boston.” This perfectly summarized the magnitude of the Celtics’ achievement – their 18th championship banner. Their last title win came in 2008, so this victory marks a glorious return after 16 years. Not only is this a joyous occasion for Celtics fans, but it also cements their position as the team with the most NBA titles.

The Celtics are truly worth the hype as they dominated the series with a 2-0 early on. And they soon extended it to a 3-1 lead before sealing the deal with a resounding 106-88 victory in Game 5. Their performance left the Dallas Mavericks with nothing but disappointment.

However, the NFL landscape seems divided. While the Celtics bask in glory, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is likely experiencing a different kind of emotion – disappointment!

While Tom Brady cheers, others are left in tears

Even in the offseason, Patrick Mahomes can’t escape the NBA! A die-hard Dallas Mavericks fan, Mahomes has been cheering on Luka Dončić throughout the playoffs. Dončić put on a valiant effort, leading the charge with 28 points in Game 5 of the Spring Finals.

However, the Celtics’ Jayson Tatum proved too powerful, putting up a staggering 31 points for his team. Mahomes’ reaction on social media was hilarious: “Bro I hate this dude” (followed by laughing emojis).  Initially, some thought the comment was directed at Tatum, but it later became clear Mahomes was playfully throwing shade at Payton Pritchard, who sank a game-winning buzzer-beater from the halfcourt. Now, Pritchard has been doing it on repeat since Game 2! This clutch shot proved quite vital in the Celtics’ championship run.

Mahomes wasn’t the only one with mixed emotions. NBA legend Magic Johnson took to X, lamenting, “I hate that the Celtics officially have more championships than us now.”  Until recently, Magic’s Los Angeles Lakers boasted the title of most NBA championships with 17. But the Celtics have now stolen the crown! While some remain salty, others, like Tom Brady, seemed genuinely happy for the Celtics.
