Tom Brady credits his father for the success he found in life

In a recent YouTube episode on DeepCut with VicBlends, the 7x Super Bowl champion revealed the emotional depth of his relationship with his family, particularly his father. He attributed his success and where he is today to their undying support through both success and failure. Reflecting on his journey, he shared, “There’s very few people that have seen you through every part of your journey life – your immediate family.” He continued, “My dad was my hero. He was someone I looked up to every single day of my life. Someone I always tried to be like.” This heartfelt tribute underscores his father’s profound influence on his life and career.

Tom Brady’s success story is a testament to the power of family support. Despite initial challenges through high school and college, he never hides his admiration for his parents and always credits them for his achievements in the NFL. He went on to shine the spotlight on his father, saying, “He is the most caring, loving man as a father, as a grandparent, as a husband and he was a great role model for me. And I think through all that support all the years gave me a great foundation.” This narrative underscores the crucial role of family support in his journey, starting right from when he first entered the pro league during the 2000 NFL Draft.

The early days of Tom Brady’s NFL career were not without their challenges. As a young, skinny Michigan player, he was at home watching the draft on TV with his parents. Recalling his emotions at that time in an episode of the Patriots Dynasty, he shared, “I knew I wasn’t a first-round pick. I thought maybe second or third round. And the third round came and I was like, ‘nothing.'” This moment of disappointment was further highlighted in a scene where Tom Brady Sr. recounted how his son took out his frustration on his baseball bat when his name wasn’t called out even in the fifth round during the 2000 NFL Draft.
