Mike Evans is not just following in the footsteps of Brady’s legacy at the Buccaneers, he is creating one of his own. The wide receiver has pledged his loyalty to the team since 2014 when the team picked him as the 7th pick of the first round. His tenure briefly overlapped with Brady when he spent the final 3 seasons of his career with the Buccaneers.
As the regular season awaits their wild-card week, Evans celebrates his 10th straight season with the Buccaneers, along with a special personal accolade, as they celebrate their 21-18 win against the Panthers.

In their last game against the Carolina Panthers, the WR raked in 162 yards, totaling up to 1012 yards this season, his 10th straight season where he has bagged 1000 plus yards each season. Taking some time to congratulate the Buding legend, JJ Watt wrote a special message for him, an achievement for Evans, in other words. Watt predicted the guy to be a “Hall of Famer”.

The year 2018 was the most beneficial for Evans, as he scored his career-highest 1524 yards that season, his highest till now. However, this season is not over yet, hence the team has their expectations set on another couple of hundred yards there. Whether Evans will break his personal best record or not? That is a question Evans’ performance will answer. As of now, the NFL community is riddled with another question: How will the newfound rivalry between Tom Brady and JJ Watt turn out to be?

As if their tense clashes on the NFL grounds weren’t enough, Brady and Watt have now locked horns in the ‘other football’. Brady’s investment in second-tier Championship side Birmingham City has been the talk of the town, along with his frequent appearances at various stadiums across the UK.
On the other hand, Watt already has his money well set in soccer as the minority owner of New Burnley. Watt and his wife, Kealia, invested in the American consortium ALK Capital, along with Burnley earlier this year in May.

Surprisingly, competition is the last thing on Brady’s mind right now. Rather, he is quite glad to be in Watts’ company, which will ultimately bring fame to their sport. “It’ll be a lot of fun,” confessed Brady. On the other hand, Watt still likes the edge he gets, as he says, “We’re competitive at the end of the day, so it’s going to make us both want to do more.”
