Everyone needs a friend in life to give them a push in the right direction! For Erin Andrews, it was a fellow Fox Sportscaster who helped her in establishing her clothing line, WEAR. After launching her brand in 2019, Andrews mostly focused on sports-themed women’s apparel. She always thought that every stadium sold out their men’s apparel, but it was women’s fashion that got hammered somewhere. So, she came up with the idea of WEAR, which instantly gained traction through Taylor Swift.
However, Andrews still remembers former Giants star Michael Strahan’s advice, which was a major factor in her entrepreneurial success. Stahan isn’t just a Fox Sports broadcaster, he is also the co-founder of SMAC Entertainment alongside CEO and partner Constance Schwartz-Morini. It is a talent management agency that represents popular internet personalities like Andrews herself, Deion Sanders, Troy Aikman, Snoop Dogg, and also American rapper Wiz Khalifa, among others.
Schwartz-Morini says Strahan’s personality would liven up any room he walked into. “He had, what we call the ‘magic of Michael,'” she said. “It became a go-to for us. Whether it was playing in a golf tournament or bringing him in to help us dust off the NFL Lineman Challenge or do a sponsor appearance—he just had It.” And probably this can partly be attributed to his hard work. Here is an idea of what his day looks like.

During football season, Strahan’s mornings start at 5 a.m. during the week. He’s in the New York studio for Good Morning America until about 9 a.m. and spends the rest of his day in production meetings and working on his business. On Fridays, which are his only off days, after he’s done on set, he flies back to L.A. On Sundays, he’s on the set of Fox NFL Sunday for up to 12 hours before hopping back on a plane to New York to start it all over again. No wonder “Hustle like you’re broke” is the mantra at SMAC. Interestingly, this is what inspired Erin Andrews to rethink her perspective on her career.
During an interview with the Entrepreneur released on Instagram, Andrews’ first words were, “I want to be the female version of Michael Strahan. I really do. He’s is good friend. I love how professional, relatable, hilarious, serious he can get. I think he has made fantastic business choices in his life.” She then revealed, “Different advice along the way meant a lot to me. One of them by Michael Stahan was work like you are broke, which I really like.” So how did that affect Andrews?
“And I feel like it’s so funny. When I was younger, I thought I was working so hard so I got to my 40s I wouldn’t have to work hard. Now I have never worked harder in my entire life,” Andrews said. However, Strahan might not have been the only one who pushed Andrews to work harder on her brand.

Andrews had Taylor Swift wear her apparel multiple times in Chiefs games last year. This gave a huge boost to WEAR that instantly brought a wave of Swifties toward them. Within seconds, her items started to sell out, starting with the Chiefs’ windbreaker. Well, they weren’t just limited to purchasing Chiefs-themed clothes.
As Andrews later revealed, “Swifties aren’t just Chiefs fans. They’re Miami Dolphins fans. They’re Green Bay Packers fans.” Seeing her make waves with WEAR, Andrews further added, “They’re two different worlds we’re seeing. But I think women like myself can help.” Now, this wasn’t the only interaction Strahan and Andrews had about women’s clothing. Strahan also made sure to compliment the long-time Fox Sports reporter for her on-screen looks.

Michael Strahan throws compliments on Erin Andrews’ beauty
Last month, when winter had already arrived in Chicago. Strahan ensured he praised the Fox Sports on-ground reporter Andrews for her appearance. This all started with Andrews pointing out the Packers head coach Matt LaFleur’s appearance while she was covering the Bears vs the Packers match-up, “Matt LaFleur, 45 years old, making me feel insecure with how great he looks.” Well, it was LaFleur’s birthday that led to him drawing praise from Andrews. But she didn’t forget one of her Fox colleague’s birthdays, which happened to be Michael Strahan.
“I know another birthday boy. I’m gonna pretend I’m hologram in the studio walking in. Where are you, Michael Strahan? Happy Birthday to you this week my friend.” Hearing Andrews wishing him a Happy Birthday led to Strahan counter praising Andrews this time for her looks, “Thank You. I appreciate it. You talk about looking fresh, start talking about that jacket you got on. You are looking fresh, yeah! I love you EA.”

Andrews’ look was really stunning, as she wore a black leather jacket that definitely turned heads. She also expressed her gratitude after getting praised on-camera, “Love You guys.” While Strahan and Andrews continue to share their bond behind the scenes, we would be eager to hear more about her success story as an entrepreneur.
