Fresh of celebrating her 18th birthday. Not even 50 days since Isabella Strahan joined her college. Michael Strahan and family faced their worst nightmare when Isabella was diagnosed with cancer in October 2023. “The toughest thing to sit in a hospital room with your kid, and you just sit there and tell them you love them, and have your kid look at you and say, ‘Dad, I just want to live. I don’t want to die,'” Michael talked about how helpless he felt during her treatment. While it was nothing sort of a nightmare for the Strahan family, Michael also knew that his daughter would fight it out. While this was a tragedy for the Strahan family, Isabella’s cancer reunited her parents, who were separated for nearly 19 years. Now, 18 months later, when Isabella not only defeated cancer but also regained her strength, her mother Jean Muggli has some powerful words to share.

During the time Isabella was being treated, it was the toughest time for the Strahan family. Earlier this year, Jean revealed how even when Isabella was in pain, she handled everything with grace. “Isabella’s strength and resilience was the same as it was when she was a little girl. The way she handled every day with grace was amazing,” Jean Muggli said. Michael, who never felt more helpless, also confessed that he somehow knew that his daughter would not just quit. “I knew she wouldn’t quit,” Michael further shared. “She was going to fight — and she did.”

While Isabella did suffer pain during her treatment, her cancer-free life has been nothing sort of a dream. Earlier in March this year, Disney released a documentary “Life Interrupted: Isabella Strahan’s Fight to Beat Cancer,” based on her battle against cancer. And a week ago, the 21-year-old collaborated with none other than fashion powerhouse Kenneth Cole.

Now that Isabella is cancer-free and back at college, living the life she always dreamed of, her mother Jean couldn’t help but reflect on the incredible journey her daughter has endured—from being diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a malignant brain tumor, in October 2023, to now standing strong and healthy.

On Sunday, Isabella’s mom, Jean Muggli, took to her Instagram handle and shared a clip of Isabella’s journey from struggling to walk properly to running in the woods while writing a sweet and simple yet strong message. “Things get better; time heals.” Jean even captioned her post, sending a message to Isabella, “Time, Prayer & she worked so hard🌹.”

Have an interesting take?

Indeed! Just a year and a half ago, Isabella suffered headaches, nausea, and difficulty walking in a straight line. And it was her twin sister, Sophia, who advised her to visit the doctor. It was then that Isabella and her parents found out that she had been diagnosed with medulloblastoma. Fast forward, and time absolutely healed everything.

Just the other day, Isabella appeared on the Beyond the Battlefront podcast with Noor Hassan (who’s also a cancer survivor). During her chat with Hassan, Isabella revealed that she’s now back at the University of Southern California to continue her studies.

To top that off, she even collaborated with Kenneth Cole as they dropped their spring womenswear collection. Kenneth Cole’s IG post is evident enough to describe Isabella’s finding her way back to life.

Posting a black-and-white picture of Isabella wearing a black, ribbed knit two-piece set, the caption features Isabella’s words, “I’m alive. Isn’t that a beautiful thing?” The caption further mentions, “Unbreakable. Unstoppable. Isabella Strahan wears strength with style in our spring womenswear collection. All in all, it’s safe to say that after months of battling cancer, Michael Strahan’s daughter is shining whether it’s collaborating with multiple brands, or just posting a casual selfie.

And her recent selfies are a prime example of this. Especially the one that she shared on Saturday on her IG handle. No caption or anything, just a picture of herself. The highlight of that picture? It’s her hair growth. Because let’s be real—she candidly expressed her feelings about losing her hair due to chemo.

Remember when she posted a TikTok video making fun of the fact that she got bald amidst her chemo? Yeah, she was joined by her twin sister who snatched her blonde wig, and revealed her head, both of them laughed, and lip-synced over a popular sound that said, “Oh my gosh, she’s bald! She’s bald and she’s torturing people who have hair!” So yeah, seeing her pictures, we can just say that Isabella is embracing every bit of change in her body after battling cancer.
