“I think the biggest part was seeing my sister, like, ‘Oh, she’s in the Bahamas on spring break and doing all this fun stuff,'” recalled Isabella Strahan. You know the feeling when you think that everyone’s doing their thing and you’re just kind of stuck? Michael Strahan‘s daughter Isabella went through the same, and so much more. Vacations, football, and friends, that was Isabella’s life before medulloblastoma struck her at only 18. It was her freshman year at USC, and before she could even settle in, life threw her into the hospital.
It was a long battle, but Isabella fought through it and came out as a winner. Last year, in July 2024, Isabella’s doctors declared her cancer-free. The 20-year-old is now wasting no time catching up on life. From football nights to attending her classes, from bravely sharing her story to enjoying vacations with her twin sister Sophia Strahan, Isabella is doing it all. Speaking of Sophia, she just dropped pictures from her Bahamas trip alongside her sister Isabella. On Tuesday, Sophia posted snippets from the beautiful island, captioning, “Guess where 🐠.“

The pictures feature a few solos of Sophia, some snippets with her friends and her sister Isabella, along with a few shots of sunsets and the ocean. Honestly, the blue skies, the beach, and the tall palm trees make Sophia’s snippets aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. An undergraduate at Duke University, Sophia is turning heads in her latest post. In one of the pictures, she is donning a beautiful white dress, with the blue ocean and palm trees in the background.
Isabella also shared a few pictures on her IG story from her vacation with her twin sister. In one of the photos, the 20-year-old stunned in a white tube top and a beige skirt as she smiled wide for the camera. The two sisters also posted a picture of enjoying iced matcha lattes while soaking in the Bahamas sun. Summer is around the corner, and the Strahan sisters are already in high spirits.
As the two sisters enjoyed their vacation, mom Jean Muggli dropped an emotional comment on Sophia’s post.
Sophia’s vacation snaps tug at mom’s heartstrings
“I was the one who told our parents because Isabella called and said she was throwing up blood,” shared Sophia with People magazine. After Isabella started experiencing health issues like nausea, headaches, and dizziness, she first told her twin sister about it. Sophia then forced her to go to the doctor. And that’s when the family discovered that Isabella had a fast-growing tumor in her cerebellum.

Well, Sophia Strahan might not be the biggest supporter of Isabella’s vlogs. But she has her unique strength, grace, and character that Mom Jean would not like to take credit for. After all, Sophia made sure to be her sister’s strength during her cancer battle. She would talk to her about random things when Isabella was in the hospital just to make her feel normal. And isn’t that what all siblings do?
