Little over a year back, the social media community was almost sure that NFL legend Michael Strahan’s daughter Isabella had got married, thanks to a post by videographer Tiberious Greene. On his Instagram handle weddingsbytiberious, Greene uploaded a wedding reel featuring Isabella and Korbin Pettigrew. “@isabellastrahan + @korbin.pettigrew Fairytale Elopement! At the most #Dreamy #WeddingVenue in Wilmington NC🐴👰🏽♀️💍,” he had captioned the post. Incidentally, the reel was posted just after her cancer diagnosis was announced. Comments like “Praying for healing for you, Isabella….You are beautiful, and congratulations on your marriage,” started pouring in.
The bubble was eventually burst by the videographer Greene, who later shared on his YouTube page, “Greatly appreciate all the kind words. I will be sure to send them along! and thank you for enjoying this film as well! But just so you all know This isn’t a REAL Elopement and she didn’t get married, this was a Styled Shoot for her mothers Wedding Venue!” Isabella’s mother, Jean Muggli Strahan, who owns Sycamore Bend Event wedding venue, also shared the shoot on the company’s Instagram page, writing, “My beautiful daughter riding our sweet Valuable, this day was perfect.” The 20-year-old has gone through a lot since then.
Isabella underwent an emergency brain surgery just a day before her 19th birthday to remove the golf ball-sized tumor, called medulloblastoma. Then, after a series of chemos, this summer, she was finally declared cancer-free. Indeed, she made quite an impact with her year-long cancer battle. So much so that now she has got a proposal to bring that wedding reel to reality!

Recently, Isabella took to her Instagram to share photos from her trip to the Bahamas. She had a fan on her comments requesting her hand in marriage: “Your hand in marriage please?” What Isabella did next may catch you off guard. Strahan’s daughter liked her comment and also left two marriage rings as emotes as her reply. What that might mean?

Well, Isabella is still a student at the University of Southern California. In August, she had triumphantly declared on her social media that she was “back at USC.” This whole interaction might just be her expressing her love for her fans. Interestingly, Isabella seems to have quite a connection to the wedding gowns! Let’s go back to June last year.
Michael Strahan posted a series of photos of his daughter Isabella modeling an off-the-shoulder bridal gown. She looked radiant wearing a white gown with a structured corset bodice and flowing skirt, which she teamed with a small white bouquet of flowers and a delicate hanging disc necklace – a typical wedding day look! Her brunette hair was styled in gorgeous natural curls that cascaded past her shoulders and she chose a glowing beauty look perfect for the sunny weather, including a sheer base skin with a sweep of blush and lashings of mascara. What was the occasion?
Before you once again scratch your head, let’s tell you that was Isabella’s high school graduation ceremony. “Out high school and on to USC!!! So proud of you, @isabellastrahan!!! Intelligent, beautiful, and hard-working!! I can’t wait to continue to watch you shine!! Love you! #GirlDad,” a proud Michael Strahan had written on his post. Similarly, the dad had also shared his pride and appreciation as he watched Isabella closely during her fight against cancer.

Despite the entire ordeal being “Tough and painful to watch,” Strahan appreciated his daughter’s spirit as she never gave up during tough times. “Throughout this entire journey, Isabella has inspired and helped us all by how she has approached what she was facing. She has worked so hard and with such an amazing spirit. And she is still on a journey with her vision, balance, and getting her weight back,” he further added.
Isabella, at one point, had to deal with three rounds of chemotherapy, “Tomorrow is really my last day of chemo. And then it’s my last cycle, and then I’m done. It’s insane,” Isabella said in a video back in May. And that wasn’t the only announcement fans of Isabella were waiting for. Soon, she dropped the news that everyone was praying for. After months of struggle with hair loss, memory loss, and so much more. Michael Strahan’s daughter announced she was cancer-free.
On July 18, she went to her YouTube Channel to announce, “Everything was clear. Cancer-free. And everything is great.” However, while announcing her victory against cancer, she didn’t forget to express her gratitude to those who made it possible. “I miss my doctors already and everyone who’s helped. Because they’re all so nice. I feel like I’m just saddened today knowing that I wasn’t gonna be going back for a while cause I love them so much,” Isabella added.

Well, to celebrate her moment being cancer-free. What did Isabella do next? She went to Disneyland to celebrate her 20th birthday with twin sister Sophia Strahan. Going through her TikTok, you can find Isabella wearing Mickey Mouse ears as she landed on the Happiest Place on Earth.
Just think about that moment by yourself, from failing to celebrate her 19th birthday because of emergency brain tumor surgery. She now found herself celebrating joint birthdays with a note, “365 days since my life changed tremendously. Thankful for the progress I’ve made.” As she continues to enjoy more holidays, from Disneyland to the Bahamas. We just couldn’t be happier seeing her smile and return to normalcy.
