There’s always that one thing that defines us—whether it’s our way of talking, our dress, our smile, or even the energy we carry on our shoulders. Each one of those things makes us special in a crowd of millions. But have you ever been pointed out for the way your teeth look? Well, a few of you might be familiar with that feeling. However, there’s nothing to be ashamed of. Just look at Michael Strahan—he knows all too well how to handle comments on his special teeth.

On Sunday morning, Strahan took to his Instagram to share his reaction to a diss track about his teeth gap. He shared a post by rapper Christian Eliah on his Instagram stories with the caption, Playing this on repeat,” while adding a few laughing emojis to it. Well, that diss track apparently called out Strahan’s gap in his teeth with lyrics like “GAP TOOTH LIKE STRAHAN, I’M APPLYING PRESSURE LIKE MIKE!!”. And a personal message for Strahan saying, “Hey, fix that s—,” asking Strahan to finally get his teeth done at a dentist.

See, diss tracks are sometimes meant to go under your skin. However, Strahan was pretty chill getting called out for his teeth gap. And you know what made Strahan’s shout-out to his own diss track special? Well, if you go through Christan Eliah’s diss track post that Strahan shared on his Instagram. You could find both of them sharing a heartwarming moment ahead of the Super Bowl LIX. It had Eliah taking a selfie with the Fox Sports analyst, who had a giant smile on his face. Yeah, he even flaunted that gap on which Eliah ended up dissing in his song.

But the real question is, will Strahan ever fix his teeth gap? Like even a diss track didn’t make him consider addressing the gap. What else would urge Strahan to finally close his gap? Maybe nothing. Because Strahan, for one, isn’t embarrassed by his special teeth. Neither does he feel bad about it. Instead, Strahan likes to play with the idea of fixing his teeth. Yes, going back a few years, Strahan almost changed the thing that he is known for.

Michael Strahan pulls off the greatest prank on his fans

On one fine day, 31st March to be exact, Strahan dropped a video on his Instagram in which he seemingly fixed his teeth. Yeah, that video had Strahan going to the dentist and getting his teeth done. Like even flaunted those shiny white incisors, leaving his viewers flabbergasted.

What’s your perspective on:

Should Michael Strahan keep his iconic gap, or is it time for a change?

Have an interesting take?

So is #GoodbyeGap really happening? Or was it just a joke? Well, the latter was true, as Strahan soon gave an update two days later. This time, he had a mask on his face so that no one could have guessed what he was going to reveal. Then, the former Giants defensive end started to talk, “I know a lot of you are wondering, oh, it’s gotta be April Fool’s joke. He’s gotta be joking with the teeth..he must not’ve fixed that gap, it’s his signature.”

Well, the people were actually right—he didn’t fix the gap. It was indeed an April Fool’s stunt. However, the thing that actually surprised Strahan was how many people didn’t want him to get rid of the gap. “I was surprised, to be honest with you, at how many people were like. No! Don’t get rid of the gap. It’s your signature! And I’ve always kind of looked at it that way. But I didn’t know so many people cared.” He even wanted people like him to keep on smiling. And never feel bad about themselves for something that was God-gifted: “I appreciate all the love for the gap, and I’ve had it for you know, almost 50 years.”

At this point, no matter how many years go by. We can all agree that Strahan should just avoid fixing his gap. It’s something that makes him stand out among others. Makes him special. And he shouldn’t really change his signature just to please some opinions out there.
