Good Morning America! Michael Strahan is back on television. After watching his daughter Isabella suffer while she was diagnosed with cancer, Strahan decided to maintain his distance from television to be with his family, especially with his daughter Isabella. Strahan never felt more hopeless and helpless ever in his life than during the treatment of Isabella. All he could do was pray that his little girl would get back on her feet. “She has shown me, I’ve learned so much from her, watching her go through all of this, but it’s the toughest thing to sit in a hospital room with your kid and you just sit there and you just tell ’em you love them and have your kid look at you and say, ‘Hey dad, I’ll do whatever they say. I just want to live. I don’t want to die,’” Father Strahan said after Isabella finally beat the cancer in July 2024.
Well, the last two years changed Strahan in many ways. While he was away from television, it wasn’t just a break from Good Morning America—it was a father choosing to stand by his daughter when she needed him the most. But now, with Isabella back in college, healthy and strong, Strahan isn’t just returning to television — he’s stepping back into a new world.
Earlier this month it was confirmed that the 52-year-old will take his exit from the GMA show. “He’s had enough,” an insider said. “It’s a lot. He wants to spend more time with his family.” But if there’s one thing Michael Strahan knows, it’s how to win—whether it’s on the gridiron field, in a TV studio, or somewhere in between. The man doesn’t just show up; he takes over. From sacking quarterbacks to dominating morning television, Strahan has made a career out of entertaining his fans. While many believed that Strahan’s time on television is over, the former defensive end is all set to rock television starting March 9 this year.

Now, if you are a ‘The $100k Pyramid’ fan (the few loyalists still left, hats off), you just can not wait any longer. I mean, I wouldn’t blame you because the last one aired back in December 2023. But guess what? You will not have to. Consider that void officially filled.
Strahan is back with The $100,000 Pyramid’s season 8! The game show’s returning to ABC on March 9, and Strahan is once again calling the plays. “You never know what is going to happen next!” the show’s official IG teased. And if you’ve ever seen Strahan in action, you know that’s not just promo talk—it’s a fact.

For those of you who do not know a lot about this show, fret not, I’ll run you through the concept once. Here’s how it works: Two teams, one celebrity, and one contestant each, go head-to-head in a word-association battle. One partner gives the clues, the other guesses the mystery words. Nail enough of them, and you get a shot at the Winner’s Circle, where the top prize is—you guessed it—$100,000.
And with Strahan running the show, (yet again!), you can expect the energy and the chuckles as if they never left the set of the show.
The show aired on weekdays on ABC and is also available on Hulu, that has been the trend. But March 9 is Sunday. So, maybe, that’s new this time. Anyways, there’s no excuse to miss it. Whether you’re a long-time fan of Pyramid or just here to see Strahan in his element, it’s a win-win. Especially, for those of you who might have received a GMA bomb!
Michael Strahan is open to Hollywood talks!
The former Giants legend is stepping away from Good Morning America, looking to spend more time with family. But that’s not until this summer. So, you still have time before Michael Strahan’s official Au Revoir.
With Fox NFL Sunday still in the mix, juggling six or seven days a week during football season was a grind. And while his exit means walking away from a hefty paycheck, Strahan knows one thing: money can’t buy—time. “That’s what has led me to think more about the end of my career,” he said. But retirement? Not so fast.

Turns out, Strahan might have his sights set on Hollywood. During a recent GMA episode, he sat down with Amazon CEO Andy Jassy to talk about Amazon MGM Studios gaining creative control over the James Bond franchise. Then, in classic Strahan fashion, he threw out a curveball. When Jassy asked who should be the next 007, Strahan didn’t hesitate—“You’re looking at him.”
Hmm… Who says, ‘No!’?
Fans had mixed reactions. Some were all in—“Why not him? It would be cool!” Strahan has the charisma, and presence, and let’s not forget, he’s already suited up on the big screen before. Magic Mike XXL, anyone?

Would Strahan make a great Bond? That’s up for debate. But the man knows how to command a room, whether it’s a football field, a morning show set, or, potentially, a high-speed Aston Martin chase scene. And if not Bond, Hollywood still seems like a natural next step especially when we haven’t seen Strahan do anything in the half-as*ed manner.
So, is he really done with TV? Maybe. But the man who has been in between scripts since post-retirement, don’t be shocked to see Strahan in a movie poster in the near future.
