CJ Stroud is definitely having a successful season right now. The Texans have won three of their last four games, and a lot of it can be credited to the rookie QB and his bonding with his teammates. A post on X shows how CJ Stroud cites Tom Brady as an inspiration to be the best teammate. If there’s one player who’s strengthening the brotherly bond between the Texans, it’s CJ Stroud. He has been putting together several bonding events for the team to connect on a level deeper than just being teammates on the field. The 22-year-old said of Tom Brady’s statement, “Man, that’s how I am… I love kicking it with my boys. Those are my brothers. So it definitely hit home when he was talking about it.”
Although one of the youngest NFL players, CJ Stroud has already proven himself on multiple occasions that he’s more than just a star quarterback. He makes a promising leader who connects his team and strengthens the team spirit. As of the games played in 2023, CJ Stroud achieved 1,660 passing yards and nine touchdowns.

The Texans freshman began bonding with the team’s safety, Jalen Pitre, during a lunchroom chat even before he was drafted. CJ Stroud continues to have bro time with Pitre as they vibe over music and basketball outside football. But he has also organized multiple bonding events for his teammates, such as when he paid for their flights and hotels in Southern California and when he hosted a 2-hour bowling event.
CJ Stroud said, “I enjoy fellowship. If you can get a little getaway and be with your brothers, that’s all you need. We were staying together, eating together, like doing every little thing. So we see what guys care for.” Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans said of CJ Stroud, “It’s tough to play (quarterback). But you see a young man who can make plays, and it makes guys play a little harder for him.“

Tom Brady has inspired the right person to change the game of football. As CJ Stroud continues to deepen his bond with the Texans, the 3-3 team will head to the next game against the 0-6 Carolina Panthers in Week 8.
