Kylie Kelce turned down Jason's charity idea, yet it raised $3M! What does this say about them?

Kylie Kelce’s “no” turned into $3M! When Kylie initially turned down her husband Jason Kelce’s idea for a charity Christmas album, little did she know it would snowball into a $3 million fundraising juggernaut.

During a recent sit-down on the WIP Midday Show, Kylie dished on the Eagles Radiothon and why she rejected Kelce’s holiday album idea. While the former Philadelphia center’s pitch sounded okay, Kylie wasn’t entirely sold. “The first time Jason told me about it, I was like, ‘Oh yeah, that sounds like a great idea’,” the 32-year-old admitted. “But then he played the first couple of recordings, and it was an immediate switch to, ‘Oh no wait, this is actually a great idea’.”

Kelce’s wife couldn’t stop raving about how her husband and his teammates crushed it with the charity project for Radiothon. The funds they raised were straight-up impressive! “The amount of money that they’ve been able to raise and the number of charities that have been impacted by donations through the Christmas album has been so impressive, um, and to be able to incorporate it in something here with RadioThon something that we as a family are super passionate about supporting the Eagles Autism Foundation, it just goes full circle,” Kylie asserted.

She’s excited about the new shirt design project they’re working on, hoping it will bring even more support to their Eagles Autism Foundation. “Jason is so good at coming up with ideas,” Kylie shared, adding that her role is more about adding a touch of creativity to the process. “I’m just here to mix it up a little bit.”

Jason Kelce, Lane Johnson, and Jordan Mailata dropped the Birds’ O-linemen’s first album, ‘A Philly Special Christmas,’ on streaming platforms—and it exploded, pulling in $1.25M. Their follow-up album ‘A Philly Special Christmas Special’ sold as limited-edition vinyl raked in over $3M, supporting 60+ orgs like the Children’s Crisis Treatment Center and Ronald McDonald House. “I am overwhelmed with gratitude that we were able to double the amount of money we donated last year,” said Connor Barwin, an ex-Eagles linebacker and Vera Y Records’ co-executive producer.

The album also made waves on streaming services and vinyl, with singles like ‘Fairytale of Philadelphia’ hitting No. 1 on iTunes. A nearly eight-minute animation tied to the album garnered over 695k views on YouTube, proving the project’s massive appeal.

Kylie and Jason Kelce’s philanthropic efforts are clearly making an impact, with them nearly raising $1M for an important cause.

The Kelce duo’s proving they’re not just all about football—this time, they’re making a splash for charity. Their fourth annual Team 62 fundraiser for the Eagles Autism Foundation smashed expectations, raking in over $865k in just two days.

Kylie Kelce took to IG to share her pride, saying, “The enthusiasm and generosity around this event never cease to amaze me.” She added that despite any criticisms of Philly and Eagles fans, events like this highlight why they’re so proud to be part of the community. Kelce’s wife humorously noted, “We might throw snowballs at Santa, but we’ll also throw money across a bar and chug some beers to support people with autism!” (Philly fans threw snowballs at Santa in 1968, but Kylie’s point stands.)

The record-breaking event on June 26 and 27 more than doubled last year’s $375k total. It kicked off with an ‘Eagles Takeover’ at Excursion Park, complete with the Eagles’ drumline and cheerleaders. The party then moved to The Ocean Drive in Sea Isle City, where Jason Kelce played guest bartender and later competed in the ‘New Heights’ Beer Bowl at Sea Isle Yacht Club. In a classic Kelce moment, he autographed a fan’s fake b—, playing off the Eagles’ famous tush push.

“I just show up and drink beer, so I got the fun part,” the ex-center joked. “Kylie and the entire Eagles Autism Foundation team put in countless hours of time, work, sponsorships, and everything that goes into setting up today so that the players can just come here and have fun.”

The Eagles and their Autism Foundation are up for the Sports Humanitarian Team of the Year Award at the 2024 ESPYs, going head-to-head with the Colts, Heat, and Angel City FC. The Kelce couple is showing why they’re Philly’s pride with their impactful efforts!
