Is Rob Gronkowski's payback on Jake Paul the most satisfying moment in sports entertainment this year?

Isn’t this funny! Jake Paul, the man who had been awarded the ESPN Ringside Award for Knockout of the Year, got knocked out himself! Yes, you read that right.

But who made that possible? It’s none other than ex-Tampa Bay Buccaneers star Rob Gronkowski. But do not worry; it was just the NFL legend’s funny caption as he posed with Paul at Michael Rubin’s lavish party. Even though Gronk had nothing to do with Jake, his brother Logan locked horns with the Super Bowl-winning tight-end and his four brothers, as captured in a YouTube video back in 2021. Sources said it took place in May 2021. Three years later, Rob’s time seems to have finally arrived.

The scene was all white at the American billionaire’s extravagant July 4 party. Despite the uniform color theme, the stars of the evening were unmistakable. While Instagram was flooded with posts and stories from the Hamptons, Rob managed to steal the spotlight. His clever use of words in the captions of his Instagram stories set him apart. On July 6, the former Buccaneer shared a photo with Jake, accompanied by a caption that left his fans in stitches, “Knocked out @jakepaul, just letting him hold onto my shoulders so he doesn’t fall lol!”

The boxing star knew the assignment! Jake, too, jazzed up the frame as he imitated a pose as if he was hurt on his knee. He was putting his weight on the NFL star and holding on to his shoulder, seeking support to stand. Keeping aside their wacky pose, Jake is spotted in great shape as he gears to step back inside the ring. Meanwhile, was Gronk’s caption a lighthearted way of seeking revenge for what Jake’s elder sibling Logan did to the player and his brothers?

Logan went up against the Gronkowski brothers with Rob serving as the referee

Right before hitting the ring against Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 13, 2021, Logan signed up for a warm-up match against the Gronkowski brothers. While Rob was the referee, he witnessed Logan going one-on-one with his siblings: Gordie Jr., Glenn, Chris, and Dan. Not even their father, Glenn, was spared. Unfortunately, all five of them were defeated in their one-round bouts. But that should not have been the case.

Even though Rob often stands out in the Gronkowski family for his contribution to the NFL, all the brothers have played professional sports in some capacity. Gordie went to play minor league basketball, while the other three joined brother Rob in the NFL. But their athletic skills took a stumble in front of Logan’s years of boxing training.

Have an interesting take?

At the end of the video, Rob came up with a blatant warning for the boxing phenom shortly after congratulating him, “Just don’t think you’re going to be champ for too long, because one day I’m going to be coming for you.” It seems that the big brother has kept his word!
