On the 10th May episode of the Pat McAfee show, Peyton Manning came on to discuss the arrival of Bill Belichick to the Manning cast show, which is hosted by both Peyton and Eli. Later, he revealed the resentment that Belichick still holds for Eli and gave him a free pass to make fun of him in case conversational topics ever ran out.

Peyton said, “It was an easy pitch to Bill. I said to Bill, “We want you to come on. We’d love to go behind the ropes on the defensive side as to what the Eagles are going to have to do to stop Patrick Mahomes, right? And if you ever run out of things to say, just make fun of Eli, right? That’s always a sort of time-filler. And Bill doesn’t like Eli. We all know that. It’s a match made in heaven. Bill is gonna be a permanent guest on the Manningcast show.

The spiteful yet intended in good humor feelings against Eli in Belichick stem from the fact that the Giants’ QB led the team to two Super Bowl wins and both times, they defeated the New England Patriots in the finals. As such, if it weren’t for Eli, the Pats could very likely be an 8-time Super Bowl-winning team. Moreover, if the scar from the Giants winning the Super Bowl twice wasn’t deep enough, Eli took yet another dig at Tom Brady and the Pats in his recent tweet.

Eli Manning roasts Tom Brady

Tom Brady is widely considered the GOAT of the NFL. But Eli Manning’s name will always continue to be a thorn in his legacy since the Giants’ legend took two Super Bowls from right under their noses in Super Bowl XLII and Super Bowl XLVI. On account of missing Tom Brady’s roast, this is what Eli had to say, and let’s just say it must’ve given Brady his share of bad nostalgia.

Eli wrote, “I thought about attending the Roast of Tom Brady last night, but I did not want to Roast him for a 3rd time!!” With a lot of the fans demanding the tweet go into the Twitter Hall of Fame, it just goes to show that Eli’s reputation as a towering figure over the GOAT of the NFL will be upstanding throughout the history of the sport even though the QB didn’t see as much success as the 7-time SB winner.
