Imagine being AJ Brown in 2019, sitting there thinking, “This is it. The Patriots are calling.” But then, plot twist—Bill Belichick and company pull a fast one and pick N’Keal Harry instead. Fast forward to now, and Brown is surely out there winning the Super Bowl for the Eagles. But that admiration for New England?

Yeah, it’s still there. The 27-year-old wide receiver is a huge Patriots fan. And trust us, we aren’t making such points. For one, Brown has been all about Mike Vrabel, who coached him during his time with the Tennessee Titans. But hold up, the plot thickens—Brown recently got a signed jersey from none other than the GOAT himself, Tom Brady. Yes, you read that right.

But if you’re thinking that he’s going to stop here, then give yourselves another shot. In fact, AJ decided to have a little fun with both Patriots and Eagles’ fans when he showed off a signed No. 11 jersey. “All day bro. Feel free to rock 11 when you sign #FoxboroForever,” he captioned his social media post. Turned out, this time, it was a signed Patriots’ jersey from the Patriots’ legend, Julian Edelman.

Yeah, Edelman is one of the Brown’s favorite players. The kicker? Well, Edelman suspects that AJ Brown is cooking something, literally and figuratively. On Friday, Edelman took to his official IG handle and shared a clip of signing his No. 11 jersey for Brown. “AJ Brown DM me for a signed jersey,” he said. “I’m gonna give him a game jersey because I just respect his game so much. I’m a huge fan of him. He’s a dog.”

And here comes the interesting part when Edelman suspects whether AJ wants to be a Patriot. “I don’t know. I saw that whole thing that Brady gave him a signed jersey,” Edelman continued. “Is he trying to put a message out there? He wants to go to the Patriots? Vrabel is the old coach there. I don’t know.” Well, the speculations of AJ Brown joining the New England team are well-documented.

In fact, NBC Sports’ Matthew Berry reported that the Patriots’ front office asked Philly if Brown was available in the offseason. However, no confirmation came from either party regarding a possible trade. And considering Brown had a 1,000+ yard season with the Eagles, it was unlikely that the Eagles would have wanted to trade him.

To make it more obvious, the 27-year-old WR signed a three-year $96 million just last year. So yeah, AJ Brown being traded to the Patriots? That will remain just a speculation—at least for now.

What’s your perspective on:

Is AJ Brown secretly eyeing a Patriots move, or just a fanboy moment with Edelman and Brady?

Have an interesting take?

Perhaps AJ Brown is not a favorite WR of Cam Ward

The NFL draft is less than a week away and by now we’re almost certain that the Titans are going to draft former Miami quarterback, Cam Ward, with their first overall pick. But real talk—how’s Ward feelin’ about landing with the Titans? Well, at this point, honest would be the right answer. The reason? Well, recently, Ward went on a YouTube live stream and made several comments that confirmed his allegiance to the Titans.

When one of the fans asked who his top running backs were in the NFL, Ward straight-up named Titans Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears. But when he was asked about his favorite wide receivers, the guy didn’t feel shy away from naming Treylon Burks and Calvin Ridley. Yeah, again from the Titans. And yep, you guessed that right. AJ Brown was totally missing.

So, when someone asked about AJ Brown, things took an interesting turn, when Cam said, “AJ Brown is a dawg, but he is not Calvin Ridley.” Uh-oh! But the stats tell a different tale. Last season, Brown had another 1,000+ yard season. Not to mention the guy’s coming fresh off of a Super Bowl victory. On the other side, Ridley, no doubt, is talented, but trailing slightly behind Brown. Not to mention all the injuries and suspensions.

But let’s call it what it is. Anyone could be your favorite player, no doubt. However, it seems Ward is trying to taking on the Titans’ QB mentality by defending his receiving corp. Well, again, that’s not a bad thing, if we’re being honest. But at the end of the day, it confirms one thing: the Titans are going to draft Cam Ward with their first overall pick.
