Rob Gronkowski, the former TE for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, talks about a coach who could replace his beloved Bill Belichick if it ever came to the matter of his exit. Bill Belichick, the coach for the New England Patriots, hasn’t had the best season this year with the team standing still at a record of 4-12. They’re currently at the last spot in the AFC East division and the fans have been demanding a change in the coaching management.

There’s been a storm of requests from the fans for the Patriots to bring in a new coach to replace Belichick but no official confirmations have been made yet. Additionally, Jim Harbaugh’s release from the Wolverines after the sign-stealing controversies indicated that he would be moving to the NFL soon and Rob Gronkowski connected the dots between the two coaches all too well.

On the latest episode of the Up & Adams show, Rob Gronkowski appeared as a guest and was heard talking about a replacement for Bill Belichick in the New England Patriots. There’s a lot of talk going around about the potential transfer of Harbaugh to the NFL and the conversation between Gronkowski and Adams further confirmed that they’re also thinking along the same lines as the fans. Moreover, when he asked Kaya Adams for her opinion on a potential candidate, she replied by saying Jim Harbaugh, and Gronkowski’s face immediately lit up.

He said, “That’s a good one. That’s a good one. He’s the only other guy out there that would be a pretty good fit.” With so many speculations about Belichick’s release and Harbaugh’s move to the NFL, it seems apparent that the Michigan coach would be one of the best options to take over for the veteran coach. But with all that said, Bill Belichick isn’t the only Patriot Gronkowski has been talking about. He recently had strong words to say in support of Tom Brady after he criticized the current state of the NFL.

Tom Brady gets the support of Rob Gronkowski after his comments about the mediocrity in NFL

Recently, Brady called out the current state of the NFL and deemed it to be mediocre in terms of rules and safety. Additionally, he thought that the players including the coaches were performing poorly and didn’t play like they used to during his time. These statements drew a lot of fire from the NFL community and in light of all the backlash, Gronkowski, Brady’s former teammate, came to his aid and defended him.

Gronkowski blatantly said, “Every time he stepped on the field, whether it was practice or game day or a walkthrough, he was on another level than everyone else. So he can look down and know when talent isn’t there. Outside of 2 to 3 teams in the NFL like the 49ers, are the only ones that are truly consistent.” Thus, he channeled Brady’s glory as an argument to back his opinion and the fans couldn’t agree more. Tom Brady is a 7-time Super Bowl winner and one of the best football players to ever step foot on the field and if he has something negative to say about the sport, it most probably comes from a place of remarkable experience.
