Jason Kelce confirmed this on his X, stating, “Breaking news from Ted Lasso himself!! Let’s go! Can’t wait for Season 4, I need Ted back in my life.” Well, there you have it. Prepare yourselves, as Ted Lasso once again takes us on an emotional roller ride. Many fans have described the show as a warm hug for them, which is why it is ranked number one. But what happened all of a sudden? Why exactly is the show returning?
This has been one of the most pressing questions since Apple TV+ announced the show’s continuation. Wasn’t the third season meant to be the season finale? So why make such a hasty move? Well, Jason Sudeikis is the sole reason for the possibility of a fourth season. According to Vanity Fair, the actor believed that the plot was still incomplete and that there was more they could explore. This sudden move is the reason the fans got so excited for the comeback of the show. Even when Sudeikis revealed all of this in New Heights, the Kelce brothers’ reactions were priceless.
Jason Kelce, in particular, extended his arms almost as if to sprint. This shows how much emotion the show evoked for the former Center. Actually, not just him, but also Travis Kelce; after all, he claims to be one of the characters from the show, too.
What’s your perspective on:
Ted Lasso's back! Can the new season live up to the hype, or is it overrated?
Have an interesting take?
Travis and Jason Kelce relate to the characters of Ted Lasso
It is perfectly common to watch a TV show and quickly relate to a character. People do this all the time, but can you believe that Travis Kelce does the same? While discussing the New Heights podcast and the big reveal of Ted Lasso Season 4, there’s something you should keep in mind. Jason and Travis Kelce actually watch this show a lot, mainly because of the character Roy Kent. Everyone knows that Kent is the captain of AFC Richmond, and Travis believes he is just like him.

Both brothers discussed this on the June 2024 episode of the New Heights podcast. And there, Travis claimed, “I am — what was his name — Roy Kent off of Ted Lasso.“ Jason Kelce laughed so hard as he began to compare his brother to the character on a different level. By 2025, their podcast had become the platform for announcing the show’s new season. Talk about irony. But what will the upcoming season of Ted Lasso be about?
At the moment, we don’t know much about that. However, the creators have confirmed that Ted Lasso will face a new obstacle this season. The writers are still working on the season, and they have revealed that the story will include Lasso coaching a women’s team. That could be very intriguing. Only time will tell how the season unfolds, so stay tuned for more updates.
