Let’s go back to Super Bowl 57. Remember the Kelce brothers facing off against each other at football’s biggest extravaganza? Well, it was something that Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce would probably never forget, no matter what the result was. As for the fans, it was pure entertainment. And it could get even better after this year’s Super Bowl 57 rematch. Jason Kelce, who just retired last season, is probably gearing up for a return to the gridiron. But in a different role, with a familiar face.

See, it all started when Andy Reid dropped a major prediction while appearing in The Herd with Colin Cowherd. While talking about his relationship with Travis Kelce, Reid said, “Travis would be a heck of a football coach. He’s able to get up there and explain things and teach these young guys exactly what he sees and feels.” So, when Jason Kelce came across Reid’s comments about Travis possibly becoming a phenomenal head coach, the former Eagles center also decided to throw his hat, tweeting, “If he needs an Oline coach, I’m available.”

Just imagine, the Kelce brothers squaring off against each other was already entertaining. Now, there’s a chance they could reunite on the sidelines as a coaching duo. Yeah, they don’t have any prior experience in handling the responsibilities of a coach. But looking at their combined record in the NFL—winning four Super Bowl rings and 10 first-team All-Pros can make anyone shiver with fear. However, there’s a bit of an issue here, at least for now. Jason Kelce has already moved on from his gridiron duties last year.

But Travis Kelce is far from over. After he had a forgettable year to his standards, Kelce still caught more than 90 receptions in seven consecutive seasons. Then, by the time the postseason arrived, Kelce’s productions took off. First off, against the Texans in the AFC Divisional game, Kelce caught 7 passes for 117 receiving yards. He also scored a TD in the final quarter to send the Chiefs on their way to the AFC Championship game. However, against the Bills, Trav didn’t really have a great day, catching only 2 passes for 19 yards.

Yeah, Kelce has shown a spark whenever he catches those footballs. But judging by his career-low productions this year, there are talks of Kelce possibly retiring after this season. Now, if he does, then we could watch the Kelce brothers joining hands on the sidelines.

Is Travis Kelce close to retiring?

With the Super Bowl LIX just around the corner, Kelce would soon have a chance to win his 4th Lombardi in Kansas City. And to add the cherry on top of that success—A 3-peat that’s never been achieved before in the NFL. So, considering everything that could go right next Sunday. Kelce would have the perfect platform to retire, which not many players are blessed with. However, it ain’t likely that Kelce would walk away so easily. An NFL insider revealed, “Travis is not ready to retire. Whether the Chiefs win or lose, he would want to either go for the four-peat or avenge losing in the Super Bowl.”

Even his best mate, Patrick Mahomes, doesn’t really buy the idea of Kelce retiring anytime soon, “I have no idea. He hasn’t said anything to me if he’s thinking that.” But if you guys remember Kelce’s comments after he played in his hometown, Cleveland, against the Browns. You could have second thoughts about Kelce possibly returning next season, “I don’t know if it’s the last time. I’ll ever play in Cleveland. But it kinda felt like I was just giving it one last hurrah.”
