If you’re an NFL fan in the slightest, you have to know about the unspoken beef between Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots’ owner, Robert Kraft. The two major forces behind the Patriots‘ dominance, unfortunately, have not been too friendly with each other for a very long time.

Though it’s never been actually confirmed as to why they’ve been on such heated ground with each other, fans have long speculated that Kraft hates Belichick for chasing Tom Brady out of the team. Who, in turn, ended up joining the Buccaneers and winning a Super Bowl there. But now that they’ve reached the epitome of their careers, it seems like they’re not ready to make amends yet, as was evident through their presence together at the Tom Brady roast.

According to Lombardi, the room was awfully on edge, and he said, “I think it was awkward, it was uncomfortable. I haven’t watched the roast yet at all. But listen to what Julian said after the roast. I’ve heard his comments because I love Julian. I listened to what he said. You could feel the tension within the building but how could you not feel the tension?” Later it was revealed that Belichick and Kraft did have a brief interaction for over 10 minutes and yet, the heat between the two never died down at the event.

With all that said, here’s Julian Edelman’s narration of the exchange between the two veterans which made even the former Pats’ legend want to run away.

Later, the two shared a heartfelt moment on stage together and the fans even got to see Kraft speak highly of Belichick when he said, “I want to say this is the greatest coach in the history of the game that did what no one else has done. And having Tom Brady and him was the greatest honor the good Lord gave me.

Thus, regardless of where each of them stands in their beliefs, there is no denying the fact that the tremendous trio of Kraft, Belichick, and Brady paved the way to one of the most successful franchises in the NFL, and will continue to be a longstanding symbol of glory till the end of time.
