The true mark of a champion lies in their upbringing, the atmosphere growing up, and the innate desire to conquer the world! For sporting icons past and present, prior to having the confidence to succeed in their sports, lies an immense self-belief. Tom Brady is a true exponent of self-belief and hard work. The inspiring story of a journey from a freshman football player to the NFL GOAT initiated with humble beginnings.

Today there’s no bigger player in the NFL than Tom Brady. Be it records, SB title wins or even the impact that the man has created, there’s hardly anyone who even comes close to him. Brady, during a recent interview, went down memory lane and shared his early struggles. He narrated the incident when he just entered college football. He said “I went on the field and I was like I’m gonna get killed out here. You know in my freshman year, I didn’t even play. I was a backup QB on a team that went 0 and 8.”

Desperate to make a mark and itching to get a game, Brady highlighted how he was unkempt and didn’t have the appropriate football gear unlike most of his team-mates. He further stressed, “And these other kids came in shaving and I’m like what the hell is this? I didn’t know how to put pads on in my pants. I never played except on the streets. These kids came out there, they had you know helmets and shoulder pads. That they had worn for four years through Pop Warner.” Tom got emotional as he showed how he began his journey from humble beginnings.
While Brady has always stayed true to his humble beginnings, one of his recent mentees has not followed his wisdom in this regard. Maybe Sheduer Sanders can take a leaf out of the QB’s book, and follow his advice of ‘being humble’.

CU Buffs got their campaign back on track with an inspired victory against Arizona State. The prodigal son- Shedeur Sanders was the catalyst in the win as he delivered another stellar performance. However, his over-the-top celebrations are going around on social media. The gifted QB flexed his hands and pointed towards his $70,000 timepiece.
Shedeur can perhaps take some advice from Tom Brady’s recent narration. It’s good to purchase expensive items from the earnings, however, one should not go over the top. Deion Sanders’ son might have the talent to make it to the big leagues, but Brady is a live example of why no one, especially not a player, should ever go over the top and be disrespectful, even to their opponents.
