28-25 and finally a breakthrough! This was the story for Baltimore Ravens’ Week 3. After two consecutive losses against the Kansas City Chiefs (20-27) and the Las Vegas Raiders (26-23), the Ravens have finally succeeded in turning back the tide and registering a 28-25 win against the Dallas Cowboys. Even though it was a team effort, one has to mention Baltimore’s Derrick Henry. It’s quite evident that he was the point of difference for the Ravens on the field that day. Especially, after the GOAT Tom Brady lauded the 30-year-old running back for his gameplay against the Cowboys.
In the latest episode of his YouTube vlog, Tom Brady talked about the Week 3 clash between Baltimore and Dallas. Brady praised the veteran RB for his support to QB Lamar Jackson and the team. He further lauded Henry for his hunger and determination to win games. The 7x Super Bowl winner said, “LFG player of the game is of course Ravens’ Derrick Henry. Of course, I have played against him for a long time, the way he runs through the holes fearlessly, he is such a freak.”
Tom Brady went on to say that Henry’s discipline reminded him of his own, although that wasn’t the reason for him to award the 30-year-old with the LFG Player of the Game. The future HOFer felt that Derrick’s dominance throughout the game was a sign of him getting better with each passing day.

Even Ravens’ Jackson was in awe of Henry’s performance against the Cowboys. In the post game interview, when asked about his take on the RB’s performance, the 27-year-old gave a solid one-liner: “He showed off. He did what kings do”. Henry had 151 yards crossed, and 2 touchdowns in the whole game. After a performance like this, his team would hope that Henry and Jackson pick up where they left and lead the Ravens to another victory at M&T Bank Stadium against the Buffalo Bills.

Baltimore’s O-line was under scrutiny after their disappointing 0-2 start. However, being one of the leaders in the locker room, the 30-year-old always backed them and was determined to get them back on track. Henry revealed that he even spent extra time after practice working with them on run fits before the Dallas game.
In the post game interview, Henry reflected on the Ravens’ game. He said, “They came out with a mindset of moving guys off the line of scrimmage and being physical and playing the Ravens style of football.” Henry mentioned the locker room unity played a key role in their bounce back. He added, “As long as we stick together and believe in one another, we’ll be right where we want to be”.
The Ravens dominated the first half of the game. However, they did run into a wall in the middle of the game. But in the end they did find a late resurgence in the fourth quarter, blowing a 22-points lead. The whole team worked in perfect sync.
