The Kansas City Chiefs are in deep trouble over their recent match against the Philadelphia Eagles. They have been dominating the AFC West division since the start of the season. But in a sudden turn of events, they seem to be having a bit of a downfall after a tragic loss to the Eagles.

Patrick Mahomes has always been a hot topic when talking about the Kansas City Chiefs. He’s one of the driving factors that have helped the team win over seven games. Often known as the QB who’s next after Tom Brady, he couldn’t play his best game against the Eagles today. But while the team recovers from the 17-21 loss, Shannon Sharpe wasted no time sharing his brutal opinion with Mahomes and the Chiefs.

On the latest episode of the Nightcap show, Shannon Sharpe reacted to the poor performance that was displayed by Mahomes. Furthermore, Sharpe also stated that the Eagles had a defensive play, unlike anything that the Chiefs had ever faced before.

Sharpe relentlessly called out Mahomes and said, “At some point in time he’s not even enough to overcome the inadequate play they get from their skill position.” Mahomes is supposed to be the best quarterback in the NFL, and the fans were upset about the fact that he couldn’t lead the team to a victory. But all said and done, Mahomes’ stats dictate that he’s unlike any other player who is currently a part of the NFL.

Mahomes and his staggering statistics this season

Mahomes was drafted into the NFL in 2017 after being a star performer at Texas Tech. He was the tenth pick in round one, which was a sign of how talented of an athlete he is. The 28-year-old has won two Super Bowl rings and will be hoping to complete the treble this year.
