“I lost part of my soul today, but I know she is at peace. I love you, Winn. You will always be my firstborn child.” Those were Kylie Kelce’s words when she announced the death of her Irish Wolfhound Winnie last year. Now, within a year of Winnie passing away peacefully. Kylie has to mourn another member of her family. This time, it’s Winnie’s companion Baloo, another Irish Wolfhound who unfortunately passed away, as Kylie announced on her Instagram.
Sharing some cute snaps of Baloo lying on the couch playing with her daughters, Kylie wrote a heartbreaking farewell to her 7-year-old male Irish Wolfhound. “We were lucky enough to have 7 years with the goofiest, sweetest, most lovable, and tolerant dog I’ve ever met. He wanted nothing more than carbs and pets. He was a simple guy, held together by bubble gum and paper clips. The heartbreak is immense.” Seeing Kylie mourn the death of Baloo, fans were quick to send their condolences to the Kelces.
One of their followers wrote, “I find that the larger breeds are really just gentle giants. I feel the pain of your loss, when we have to say goodbye, it is truly the hardest thing.” Like Baloo was indeed a gentle giant—don’t let his size fool you otherwise. I mean, he will be fondly remembered for gatecrashing one of the New Heights podcast episodes where Travis Kelce was flabbergasted seeing Baloo’s size.

“Goddamn, what the f— is that?” Kelce said shockingly to his brother Jason after seeing Baloo climb onto a sofa. He also added with a calm voice, “Oh nice, he just wanted to get on that nice cool leather couch. Pet him, you gotta pet him, you can’t just let him in!” Well, those couches are surely going to feel empty with Baloo gone forever. His playful nature with Kylie’s 3 daughters will surely be missed a lot in the family. And those crazy barking? It’s all going to feel a bit silent as Baloo leaves the Kelces for heaven.
Like you won’t ever see Jason saying, “Baloo! Bubba! Come on,” again ever. As he passed away, leaving a gaping hole in the heart of the Kelces. While the pain must be too much for the Kelces to bear, their daughter, Ellie, made it a bit comforting for her. Ellie’s tribute to Baloo will forever be remembered as the best words spoken to mourn Baloo’s tragic death.

Kylie’s 4-year-old daughter Ellie gave a heart-melting tribute to Baloo
Kylie’s three daughters, Wyatt, 5, Ellie, 4, and Bennett, 2 are probably too small to understand the pain of losing a furry friend. So, when Kylie announced to her girls that Baloo was going to leave them. Ellie had a question, “Where he was going,” as Kylie wrote the conversation in her post about Baloo.
What’s your perspective on:
Is the bond with a pet as profound as with family? What are your thoughts?
Have an interesting take?
Seeing Ellie’s innocence, Kylie replied, “I told her that he was going to heaven.” And hearing that Baloo is on his way to heaven. Ellie had the perfect answer, “without skipping a beat, she replied, “Oh! He’ll get to be with Winnie again! They’ll be so happy to see each other!” I don’t know about you guys, but please, someone, get me tissues. How can you not shed a tear seeing the way Ellie described Winnie and Baloo’s reunion in heaven?

Actually, this wasn’t the only wholesome reaction. Kylie’s daughters had to whenever it was about Winnie and Baloo. Kylie once jokingly said on a podcast how Wyatt used to think Winnie was basically an older sibling to her, as she constantly used to call Winnie her firstborn.
“We were talking about me carrying a baby right now and she was like, Well, you had a baby before me. I was like, Excuse me? She was like, Winnie, because I’ve called Winnie my firstborn child so many times that my oldest daughter thinks that I carried the Irish Wolfhound in my womb,” Kylie Kelce recalled. So, watching two of her Irish Wolfhounds leave her in the space of a year must have left Kylie sobbing right now. But hey! Kylie, at least Winnie (Female), and Baloo (Male) are together now. I know you can imagine them goofing around together in the clouds like they used to in the house.
