Bayless went on to say that he had pledged his faith in the 25-year-old star from when he was drafted by the Eagles in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He recounted his old tweet, “He would change life in Philadelphia“ and that “he would soon be better than Carson Wentz.“

Skip Bayless recounted what happened in the last Super Bowl against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs as Jalen Hurts led the Eagles 21-14 until he “just lost the handle.” Even while Jalen Hurts finished the game with 305 yards and a touchdown while Patrick Mahomes accounted for 187 yards and three touchdowns, the Eagles still lost to the Chiefs in a disappointing 38-35.
