Colin Kaepernick, the former QB for the San Francisco 49ers, is on the receiving end of all the digs. The 35-year-old has been making headlines for trying to make a comeback this season, but things just keep getting heated around his situation. Kaepernick was released from the 49ers on political grounds in 2016 and has been trying to come back to the NFL ever since.

In a match between the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills, the veteran QB Aaron Rodgers got injured within the 5-minutes. As such, Kaepernick decided to jump on the opportunity and sent a letter to the Jets asking them if he could replace A-Rod but unfortunately, he was denied the transfer. With the humiliation that Kaepernick faced, he is still being subjected to criticism about his circumstances in the league right now.

On a YouTube channel called ‘Black and White Sports’, the host talked about how Kaepernick is trying to get back into the NFL as an act of seeking attention. Kaepernick sued the NFL due to claims of them being racially targeted when the 49ers released the former QB. The case reached its heights and ultimately, Kaepernick won the case and reached a settlement with the NFL. Thus, it means that he was paid to stay out of the league for good so why is his story being reset all over again?

The Youtuber rightfully said, “If it’s the NFL though, he knows that no team is going to sign him to a contract. This man sued the NFL and he got paid to go away. But in the eyes of the media, he sees this as an opportunity to say hey they’re keeping me out even though he called the NFL slavery.”?He goes on to hilariously question what slave in the NFL is being paid 20-plus million dollars a year and further brings up Kaepernick’s pay in his final season which was 16 million dollars a year.

The world of the NFL felt betrayed when Kaepernick used the ‘slavery’ card as an opportunity to shame the club and to draw attention to an issue that didn’t exist at all. While the controversies continue to surround him, it’ll still be interesting to see where he ends up playing if he ever does.

As of now, reports suggest that Kaepernick won’t be given a chance in the NFL anytime soon. With the legal battles that ensued between both parties and Kaepernick’s atrocious claims, there’s very little chance that a team in the NFL could sign the number 7 player. The BC Lions, a team of the Canadian Football League did put Kaepernick on the negotiation list for a potential transfer, which sounds well for him as he’ll get to play football one way or the other.
