Brees wore the number 9 during his years at Purdue University with a record of 90 touchdowns, as well as during his time with the Saints. His renowned jersey number 9 stood as a symbol of the QB himself. Brees’ diehard fans admired him so much that they wore the number during the game days in New Orleans.

The former QB played for the Saints for most of his career and earned numerous awards and honors. In 2006, the QB earned the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award and the Bart Starr Award in 2010.

As a quarterback, Drew Brees owned the record of 133-83 in the regular season and 8-7 in the postseason. He was also a reputed strong leader for both his teammates and opponents.
