The Hall of Famer former Broncos Tight End was engaged in some intimate activities with a woman but unfortunately, it got broadcasted on Instagram Live. Unc denied of having any knowledge of the stream. But he later came back to his podcast, Nightcap, to clear the air about the incident and set the record straight.

Sharpe’s friend called him and told him that he was on IG Live. But understandably, Sharpe was confused and frustrated when he was told, “they can hear you.” He later got to know that his private moments were being broadcasted over the internet and his “heart sank.” He clarified the additional details of the incident saying that it was his friend Jordan, who cut off the stream.

“I called my agent, I called my agency, I called ESPN,” Shannon Sharpe admitted on Nightcap. “I thought, I’m like, I just got to tell them the truth. My phone wasn’t hacked, it wasn’t a prank, it was me being a healthy, active male.” Sharpe later added that he was “extremely embarrassed” about the incident.

Sharpe and Chad Johnson had some banter about the situation later and the former tight end revealed that he even got a call from Katt Williams, an infamous comedian and Sharpe’s guest on his podcast Club Shay Shay. One thing that stood out about the whole situation is that Sharpe didn’t take long to set the record straight.

He didn’t make up any fugazi stories, rather, just came out and admitted that it was his fault. Thought the narrative that Sharpe is not fully accustomed to modern technology is also taking precedence. So, what’s next for Shannon Sharpe? Well, he’s determined to not let stuff like this happen again ad he knew just how he can prevent it from happening again.

Have an interesting take?

The Hall of Famer keeps his private line on a hush, so this live stream was understandably a genuine mistake. The 8x Pro Bowler pointed out that he’s far from being perfect and next time when he’s about to engage in an intimate activity, he’s just going to leave his phone in the car. Though this time, it was on the bed, as reported.

“I’m trying to be as private as I possibly can,” Sharpe said. “And in trying to be private, I made a huge, huge…. It wasn’t a mistake, it was an errant judgement or whatever, you know. I tell you what, from now on my phone will be in the car.” Though he was embarrassed, Sharpe spun the situation around with jokes, banters and taking full responsibility for his actions.

How many times have you done something embarrassing publicly and made fun of? If you have, you will understand that people tend to forget about such things in time. Yes, it will be brought up again, people will make fun of Sharpe, but it will be infrequent about a few days from now.
