The GOAT Tom Brady might have lost his cool in the locker room, but he was all about getting real with his teammates. Even after two years of Tom Brady bidding his goodbye to football, his former teammates fondly remember him. Julian Edelman, one pillar of Brady’s offense, falls on this list. However, there is a small twist. Edelman’s memories with Brady are not all sunshine and flowers. The WR-QB duo had their differences on the field, and Brady was the one to voice his opinions out loud.

On the show Games with Names, Julian Edelman revealed how Tom Brady found a way to apply some soothing balm when he had done some damage. During their practice sessions, Tom Brady often used to become “like the coach,” as Edelman puts it. “I remember he used to yell at me a lot, and I was a young player. He would get on me because he knew I could take it. He knew what kind of guy I was,” Edelman said, taking a good trip down memory lane.

Recalling one such incident when the WR felt down after Brady yelled at him, Edelman explained how Tom Brady got his spirits up. “One day he got on me and he could tell out that I was a little down,” Edelman prefaced before revealing Brady’s way of expressing his ‘love’ for him. “He goes, ‘Hey, babe. The day I stop yelling at you, the day I don’t love you no more. Because the more I yell at you the means the more I love you.”

Expressions of Edelman could tell he had gone through several such sessions of being schooled by the GOAT since he followed up his explanation with a hilarious afterthought. “You must really love me, though,” Edelman said, hollering. All of this was just a part of the banter between Edelman and Brady throughout the years they spent together at the Patriots.

Julian Edelman and Tom Brady’s banter continues

Despite all the friendly back-and-forth they have, Tom Brady and Julian Edelman continue to cherish the special bond they have. It is evident by Edelman casually admitting that Brady sometimes playfully threw hands on him since he was his “punching bag” during their Patriots days.

Or Tom Brady is just candidly trolling Edelman over a picture that he posted with Brady’s 15-year-old son? The picture had Jack Brady towering just a few inches above the 5’10” wide receiver, 36. “Sorry, @edelman11, you stopped growing, and now this 15-year-old is towering over you ❤️❤️,” Brady wrote, sharing the picture in his Instagram story. All of this just shows how friendly the bond between Brady and Edelman is.
