The might and pride of the Baltimore Ravens since the 2013 Super Bowl win, Jacoby Jones, has unfortunately passed away as of today due to undisclosed reasons. Jones was 40 years of age and was widely renowned for his talent as a WR and was a player unlike any other. Jones was known for having a contiguous energy that could make anyone cheer up around him but regrettably, today’s not that day.

Though Butler and Jones weren’t ever on the same team together, they shared the same competitive stage for a long time during their NFL days. From playing against each other’s teams to now mourning Jones’ death, this is certainly a tragic day for Butler as well as the entire football community.

Butler wrote out a lengthy message for his former rival and friend which said, ” This Jacoby Jones news hurts man! If you ever met him it’s a guarantee he made your day better. If you knew him, you LOVED him. Amazing man that always showed up w/ incredible energy and a smile! Gonna miss you 12! 🖤🕊️” Jones would’ve very well gone on to be one of the most inspiring role models in the sport and might’ve earned himself a spot in the Hall of Fame as well, but for now, he will rest easy as he ascends to the stars with the prayers and the well-wishes of his loved ones enveloping him like a blanket. While Jones was undoubtedly a great player in the NFL, the multitude of his personality was made evident when he took part in the famous TV show, Dancing with the Stars, where he impressed everyone with his dancing skills. Along with being a Super Bowl champion, he was also ranked as the third-best couple on the show. People who are remembering him today mention a great deal about his energy and the smile he would always wear regardless of his outfits.
The former DE for the Houston Texans, JJ Watt, also took to X, and in his message for Jones’ passing, he wrote, “Jacoby was one of the most fun-loving teammates and people I’ve ever been around.
