Boris Becker, one of the best tennis players in the world, puts Novak Djokovic among the likes of Tom Brady and Lionel Messi. Brady, the former QB for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, announced his retirement from the sport in February of this year. But even after that, he still remains one of the hot topics in the sporting world.

Novak Djokovic, the currently ranked No. 1 player, has won a record 24 grand slam titles in his career. Undoubtedly, he’s one of the best players in tennis to ever step foot on the court, and Becker gives him his share of flowers for it. Additionally, Becker goes a step further to categorize Djokovic as one of the best athletes ever and places him amongst a pantheon of other sporting greats.

When asked about Djokovic, Becker had nothing but high praise for him. The former world no. 1 tennis player says that Djokovic is one of the few athletes who have been able to dominate their respective sport even into their mid-thirties not unlike Lionel Messi, Tom Brady and LeBron James.

Becker said, “I want to compare him to a Lionel Messi, a LeBron James and a Tom Brady – for me, that’s the category Djokovic is in because all these athletes are dominating or have dominated their sport even in their mid or late thirties.” Thus, Becker rightfully put Djokovic in the same category as the 7-time Super Bowl winner as he continues to dominate the sport. But while Brady is one of the best athletes in football, the fans seem to be still hungry for more seasons for him as they persistently demand his return to the NFL.

Will Brady ever return to the NFL anytime soon?

He’s even denied the possibility of coming back to the sport as a coach. Brady has been known to be a mentor to Shedeur Sanders, the QB for the Colorado Buffaloes, but he hasn’t announced any desire to be present on the sidelines of the field. Furthermore, Brady believes that even though he has a fair share of knowledge about the sport, he doesn’t think he’s patient enough to be a coach.

But with all said and done, Brady is still an admirer of the beloved sport that made him who he is today. His podcast, ‘Let’s Go!’ sees him talk about the NFL and football as a whole with weekly episodes. Though he doesn’t seem to be extremely happy with the current state of the sport, he sure is going to continue being an ardent fan as he sits back and watches the football being passed around.
