Former NFL Star Voices His Discontent to Shannon Sharpe Regarding Walmart’s Latest Move

Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson‘s podcast Nightcap offers some hilarious anecdotes. The NFL duo touch base on everything- from personal issues to setting up dates and even discussing the leading shopping plazas. The duo quickly jumped on topics in their recent episode.

One of the points of discussion was regarding the latest changes in the Walmart. Interestingly enough, Shannon keeps himself updated with the current state of affairs and, broke down the news to his mate on the other side. Chad Johnson wasn’t at all too pleased with the news, and more with how Shannon showed his displeasure. As the former WR, he added his own perspectives to Walmart’s new reinvention. It was a strategy surrounding the customer service aspect of the leading American supermarket.

Walmart is the mainstay of the American diaspora. It satisfies all the needs of the consumers and offers them a choice to bag their groceries by themselves. Called the self-checkout aisles, it allows the customers to do their packing now with a certain twist. As revealed by Sharpe midway in the episode- “Check this out, Walmart’s self-check machines are now asking for tips. Self-checkout, you bag your own groceries and they say ‘Hey, hook your boy up with 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%'”

Chad was having none of it and immediately showed his displeasure about the same. The former WR remarked- “I don’t like that.”, Johnson stated as Sharpe let out a shocked gasp! Johnson then went on to explain, “Because who are you tipping? Who’s the money going to? Like, if I’m not actually handling the money to someone, no.” Johnson ended his reason with a solid explanation. Earlier in the video, the duo also went over an emotional path, talking about losing someone close to Sharpe.

Days after Sharpe got a scolding from Johnson for purchasing a $10,000 Pomeranian dog. He shared an anecdote related to losing his dog to brain clots. This time, even Johnson got emotional and shed tears as he was overwhelmed by the emotions.

Sharpe who said that he grew up by dogs in his family, went on to narrate the shocking incident. The HOF provided a personal story of how he would take the dog out to the neighborhood and loved his playtime. Then from not even seeing his precious furry buddy ever again, it was a soul-crushing loss! Johnson’s emotions got the better of him too as he rolled down tears.
