Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie did something that definitely made Terry Bradshaw look foolish on air. With the Eagles punching their ticket to the Super Bowl LIX, it was time for them to celebrate and lift the NFC title. Everyone was on stage waiting to get their hands on the NFC Championship trophy. Fox sent Terry Bradshaw to interview Eagles owner Lurie for his thoughts on the win. Let’s just say that what happened next left Bradshaw embarrassed and exposed in front of the whole NFL community.

Like the Fox analyst questioned Lurie, “How unexpected is this?” referring to their blowout victory over the Commanders. And Lurie, for one, had the perfect answer for Bradshaw’s poorly framed question, “Well, it’s kind of expected. I think.” See, the Eagles were always the favorite in each of their playoff games. Qualifying as the No.2 seed out of the NFC, the Birds were fortunate to play all of their games at home. And it all started with a dominant 22-10 victory over the seven-seeded Packers.

Then, it was time for the Rams to face the Eagles’ judgment on a snowy Lincoln Field last week. Yeah, you could say the Eagles were made to work hard against the Rams. However, that shortest margin of victory in the postseason by just 6 points soon turned into mayhem against the Commanders. Make no mistake—this was a Commanders’ squad that was coming off victories over the Bucs and the Lions in their backyards. So, coming into Philadelphia, there were more than a few souls, including Bradshaw, who thought the Commanders would continue their hot streak.

However, nothing like that happened. There wasn’t any upset like the previous two weeks. Instead, it was an utterly humiliating night for the Commanders, who conceded a record 55 points in their return to the NFC Championship game after 33 years. And just like the last few weeks, it was Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts who were the architects of the Eagles victory parade to Super Bowl LIX. Barkley and Hurts combined equally for 6 TDs on the ground, with AJ Brown and Will Shipley contributing one each in a historic afternoon in Philadelphia.

As for Bradshaw, the NFL community made sure their voices were heard on the former 4-time Super Bowl Champion’s Eagles jibe.

What’s your perspective on:

Did Terry Bradshaw's blunder prove it's time for him to hang up the mic for good?

Have an interesting take?

Terry Bradshaw didn’t have a great day as a Fox broadcaster when America’s eyes were glued to their coverage of the Eagles vs. the Commanders. There was a moment on air when Bradshaw made a blunder speaking about Commanders head coach Dan Quinn. He exclaimed that Quinn had coached at Super Bowl 16. It took place over 4 decades ago when Quinn was only 11 years old. This led to fans calling for Bradshaw’s immediate retirement. “Could we please retire Terry Bradshaw from these responsibilities?” See, Bradshaw has been serving as a Fox analyst for almost 32 years now. But it seems fans have had enough of his Eagles bias with desperate calls for throwing him off the air. “Terry Bradshaw is cooked. “Unexpected” Retire his a–.”

Well, those fiery reactions to Bradshaw’s unexpected question to the Eagles owner kept on coming, as another fan added. “Terry Bradshaw is insufferable. Picked all 3 teams, we played in the post to beat us, and then asked the owner, ‘How unexpected was this?’ go back to Pittsburgh. You only won rings because of your defense.” Those brutal comments didn’t stop there. There was an Eagles fan who had crossed the limits of his tolerance with Bradshaw’s bias against them. “F— Terry Bradshaw old a– too that mf hated on the Eagles so many times this season.”

Maybe Bradshaw will question himself on why he chose that question out of everything he could have asked. But the damage is already done. After repeated instances of fans calling him out, Fox may have a decision to make. And it remains to be seen whether they will stick with Bradshaw beyond this season or take fans’ grievances seriously. After all, fans’ energy fuels the NFL, and just brushing them aside won’t bode well for Fox.
