And years later they stay loyal to the teams by owning their merchandise, wearing the jerseys of their favorite players and even carrying a special souvenir! Recently, one of the greatest NFL personalities was involved in the sharing of such treasured souvenirs.

Brady joined hands with lots of children based around Linwood. The future HOF was roped in by the $11.4 billion CEO to continue the tradition of exchanging such merchandise. It was a great gesture when several children saw their NFL heroes live in person. Moreover, the kids got a chance to participate in a game-changing business trade!

Tom Brady gets involved in a card-trading tradition with young kids

The Linwood Fanatics store was a treat for the eyes as Tom Brady joined in the card trading game. It was a huge surprise for the kids to meet, greet, and trade off cards with one of the NFL legends! On Saturday Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin invited a guest star cast to the Linwood shop to celebrate the Topps Hobby Rip Night. As part of this game, the interested parties- Tom Brady and the children in this case. They sort of “rip” open their cards and boxes to participate in a trade-off.

It’s quite intense when thinking about the stakes involved! Kids were absolutely buoyant to see the former 7X SB champion and see his rare collection of cards collected throughout the QB’s 23-year career! The massive turnout even took the shop owner by surprise! He excitingly remarked “This was incredible. Unreal. I did not expect the turnout.” 

“We were notified on short notice. We talked to the kids and got them involved. The smiles on these kids’ faces. The experience of trading their own cards with an athlete and celebrity is an experience they’ll probably never have again.” For the young ones, the day got memorable and they had to think twice about trading their precious cards!

It was a memorable day for the 100-odd children at the Linwood store to trade off with the 5X SB MVP. What a lovely feeling it must be to trade off a Tom Brady card with the player himself! Brady’s team included comedian-actor Kevin Hart, singer Travis Scott, and Fanatics CEO himself.

The former Bucs player did enjoy the outing. It was a busy day for the 15X Pro-Bowler as he changed the cards for clothes, enticing an Eagles fan to exchange his rookie Bowman card. Additionally, he also saved a card for Kevin Hart, an Eagles one given how the comedian loves to support the side!

The rip event was a desperate move by the Fanatics CEO to take over the industry. In a move to make Fanatics the only leading merchandise platform, Rubin brought about the card exchange initiative. For the kids, however, it was a dream come true and was quite similar to seeing the Santa Claus in person!
