ESPN analyst Randy Moss has been out of the spotlight for a few days now. The reason? Well, according to a report, it might be due to a serious health concern. Is it?

On December 10, sports writer Larry Fitzgerald Sr. took to X to share a shocking update on Randy Moss. He tweeted, “66th NFF Hall of Fame Ceremony here in Las Vegas just heard that Vikings HOF Randy Moss has liver cancer. Let’s show the power of prayer and pull Moss through this.🙏🙏🙏.I love you Randy.” Fitzgerald Sr. revealed that he heard about this from the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame ceremony. Hence, the reporter asked the fans to join him in the prayers for Randy Moss’s speedy recovery. However, here’s the twist now!

As soon as Larry Fitzgerald Sr. shared this news with the world, Randy’s son came up to reveal the real facts. Moss junior, Thaddeus Moss, appeared to be fumed at the claims by Fitzgerald Sr. as he replied – “This is disgusting. You have no right to try to make private matters public for the sake of engagement. I do not believe my father talks to you, so check your f–king sources.

So, that means the former Vikings WR does not have liver cancer and all these are just rumors and nothing else. However, not everyone knows the reality. For instance, Brett Favre too fell into the claims, believing that the cancer thing about Moss is true news. Hence, he too took to his X and said, “Just heard the news that Randy Moss has liver cancer. Prayers to him and his family. Randy is and will always be one of the all time greats to ever run a route. Definitely on the NFL WR Mt. Rushmore.”

Therefore, Favre too got a response from Randy Moss’s son – “Brett, the support is appreciated, truly. This is not true. My father will address the world when he is ready to.” So, now we know why Favre edited his post, by deleting the “liver cancer” part from his tweet. But the question is: what has happened to Randy Moss?

Randy Moss is experiencing a health challenge?

In the first week of December, NFL legend Randy Moss decided to take a step down from his analyst role for ESPN. The reason? He wants to focus on his health for now. Hence, as he was stepping down from the role, the sports channel circulated a post, saying, “Pro Football Hall of Famer Randy Moss will step away from Sunday NFL Countdown for an extended time to focus on a personal health challenge. He briefly addressed the matter at the start of the show on Dec. 1.

Praising Moss’s skills, ESPN further noted, “For nearly a decade, Randy has been an invaluable member of the team, consistently elevating Countdown with his insight and passion. He has ESPN’s full support, and we look forward to welcoming him back when he is ready.”

So, although Moss hasn’t revealed the exact situation of his health or diagnosis, it’s clear that he will return with great health the next time. In addition to that, it’s also clear that Moss isn’t suffering from liver cancer.
