When Tom Brady served himself a good roast, laughter and brutal jokes were guaranteed. The Netflix special, “Greatest Roast of All Time,” mercilessly targeted the NFL legend, drawing material from both his illustrious career and his personal life, including his relationship with Gisele Bündchen. The comics and his ex-teammates seized the opportunity to unleash their jokes about Brady. Some may have pushed the boundaries of good taste, but that’s the nature of a roast. After all, the former quarterback was handsomely compensated for enduring the verbal onslaught.

However, a source close to Bündchen revealed that she was “deeply disappointed by the disrespectful portrayal of her family,” and that her “priority is to support her children who were affected by the irresponsible content that was broadcasted.” Brady echoed these sentiments, stating on a podcast, “I loved when the jokes were about me,” but adding, “I didn’t like the way it affected my kids.” He also confirmed that he “wouldn’t do that again.” Despite these concerning words, Tom Brady was given a harsh reality check.

Now, commentator Katie Pavlich has weighed in on Brady’s words during an appearance on the Big Weekend Show. “I think he knew what he was getting into,” she said. Pavlich also pointed out that “if you agree to let people make fun of your entire career,” you can’t be surprised when they do so. Especially when the roast is easily “accessible” for anyone to watch online, the impact is quite widespread. “I think you know that people are gonna go after you,” Pavlich further emphasized the reality.

Pavlich also threw a truth bomb that Brady could have set some “guidelines” if he truly wanted to protect his family from the jokes. She bluntly stated, “Maybe you should have set the rules ahead of time when you agreed and signed the big contract to get roasted.” While Brady may be facing backlash for his “conscious participation” in the roast, it’s important to note that he reportedly received a significant payout for enduring it. It seems the amount could even compensate for his $30 million FTX loss.

The Tom Brady roast didn’t just target his divorce from Gisele Bündchen; it also poked fun at his infamous crypto loss. The former quarterback reportedly made a $30 million investment with crypto giant FTX, without having an idea that they would go bankrupt. Thus every comic who went on stage made jokes about Brady’s bad investment, asking how he didn’t see the downfall coming.

However, the roast turned out to be financially compensating for Brady. It’s said that Netflix paid him $25 million for participating, plus a $40,000 diamond ring which has other precious metals too. Thus, in total, Brady received roughly $30 million in compensation for enduring the roast, effectively covering his crypto loss. However, Bündchen and his kids were only left with hurtful jokes about their family. So, even though it’s a win for Brady, it wasn’t pretty for those close to him.
